I have 4/12 rankings so far. Let’s get these in and I’ll post the four first-round matchups and the top-4 teams that get a bye. I won’t say what seed everyone is to avoid voter persuasion based on seed.

Lol I have my own rankings of the teams and it all depends on matchups to me.
I don't know if this is gonna be unpopular or not, but what if we just started the round of 8 after we cut the bottom four loose? I think board fatigue is a thing (IIRC, the contest never even finished last year?) and that also kind of mimics the regular season.
I don't know that how this process was going to unfold was ever determined ahead of time. I seem to remember @Wes Mantooth saying that we'd 'cross that bridge when we come to it'.
Honestly I’m down with it. Hopefully people don’t get upset but it’s better than getting blown out in a vote in my opinion.
Also, I have taken over for Wes at his asking.

I mean there's a chance I have a bottom four team and this isn't speaking at all only the original twelve make the rankings other people who are allowed to vote might see the teams another way

The only answer I have for if your team gets cut is you should have done a better job.

The other argument for cutting the bottom four out is that having a bye would reveal some amount of voting/seeding if we’re really trying to not sway future voting.
Whether the swaying of future votes or not is that important can be debated, but if that’s something we care about then what I just mentioned is simply being consistent with that.
To be clear, I’m good either way. But I would like to be done sooner than later (including if I don’t make the first cut; I would love to move on with my life).

Then maybe we just do 1 V 12 2 V 11 and so on because no one on here in the bottom four is gonna be happy about wasting there time for 4 days

I agree. Seeding isn’t going to sway me at all but it may sway other people.
We have plenty of time. Let’s make sure we get this right.

We had board fatigue because we did like 5 drafts. I ran the legends draft and all time jazz draft. Both finished. Then we did a baseball draft that didn’t finish. We aren’t getting Board fatigue after one draft. That’s nonsense
I’d rather my team voted on by all. I don’t care about getting blown out. It would hurt way more building a team and not knowing how it would’ve turned out. Excluding people after all that work is utter bull ****!!
