Jazz Offseason Plan

Yes to this trade if we can swipe McDaniels. Hell, I might even settle for a Martin twin. A holy HELL NO if we are swapping Fav and No. 30 and just taking end of second rounders for it.

Bogey for Wiseman/Looney/14

Bogey/Ingles for Wiggins/14

If we do either of these we use 30 to trade Favors.

Correct me if I'm wrong: The Jazz have to make the pick before they trade it, correct? They can't trade the pick prior to the draft. I wonder if someone like Jaden Springer falls to 30 if it significantly raises the trade value of the pick

The value of the late picks will rise as the draft unfolds and high-value players start dropping. The Knicks showed us that last year.

Yes... and he had some of the same red flags that pushed his brother back in the draft and was surprisingly effective in his rookie year... Things our front office could have noted.
There's also a (statistical) argument that Jalen played better as both a rookie and a 2nd-year player than Jaden did as a rookie (though I realize there's more than stats that goes into the equation; they're similar though not quite the same type of players, Jaden came into the league younger, etc.). If we're so hot on Jaden, maybe we should be throwing more at Charlotte if we're thinking about Jalen?

Tell me how this deal helps us at all? I don’t even think we save much money, do we?

I would do a deal centered around Bogey for Kuz and 22 with no pick coming from us. Then use 30 to move off Fav and pick up a second in this draft and a future second or something.

That combo would at least help us get off some salary, Ingles just supercharges the Lakers for 8 spots in the draft.

Also major lolz at Cy. Dude said Shai was worth more in a deal than Mitchell. Pistons turned down Shai/6 for 1.

They'd turn down Mitchell and 6 too. They want to tank for another year of drafting, not start winning . 2022 draft is massive.

Plus Cade is an actual legit 6'8 potential all-star. That's the blueprint for winning. They'd be crazy to trade out of him.
