Jazz Offseason Plan

If we have this need for wing defenders and players that offer versatility and can play in multiple positions- why the **** are we shopping wing defenders to sign ****ing Conley? Insanity....
I'm with you. We are putting so much into Conley that's it's kind of scary.

As for Kuzma, I think he fits well. And he's a long term piece to go with Don regardless. Even if he's a 4th or 5th best player, he's making 4th or 5th best player type money and he's still young.

On draft night keep the Lakers thinking you will do a deal... when the **** or get off the pot moment comes have Joe get on the phone and say "you just got Jingled mother ****ers... see you in the western conference finals".

How much do we end up overpaying Conley you think? Had the guy stayed healthy the two years he was here, I'd be more game, but I feel like we're going to get fleeced at the expense of other pieces.
I'd set the over-under at 3/75M... **** could get wild. NOLA opening up space is a bad development because if Lowery leverages them to get paid elsewhere I could see them getting desperate and going to $30Mish per year on Mike.

I think Conley will get a two year deal at high money. After the next two seasons, the Jazz will be in repeater tax and want to avoid it all together. 2/$60.

I really hope the FO will layer any contract with Conley with team options - you're right that Lowry is going to have a market and Conley will rake it in though.

On the radio Tony Jones said he thinks the Jazz offer could be 2 years $50 million or 3 years $75 million with a team option for the 3rd year.

It's going to be 3 years $75 million. Now just pray. PRAY that last year is a team option and not a player option.

I will reluctantly take it. That 3rd year better be a team option though. If it's a player option..................

I think the final year could be like $10M guaranteed for some middle ground... then you waive and stretch it if he is cooked.

I think there is something here we can get involved in...

Utah out - Bojan
Utah In - 21, 32 and Holiday

Indiana in: Bojan and 19
Indiana out: Justin Holiday, Lamb 13

NY out: 19,21,32
NY in: 13 and Lamb

I am viewing Lamb as somewhat bad salary due to injuries... not super bad... just slightly bad.

I don't understand the Ingles for Kuzma trade. It doesn't save any money. I think Ingles is gone soon and Kuzma might be a better player at this point but the Jazz needs to save money. I like the idea of getting Kuzma and 22. Maybe it is because Joe Ingles might be one of my ALL-TIME jazz favorites.

Next year is suppose to be the super strong draft, so wanting to trade for picks in that draft makes sense.

I have a hard time believing that the accuracy with which they project the draft extends beyond the top 10 players. I also heard Schmitz say next years draft isn’t as interesting/good iirc. This year being weird with Covid I think there will be more variance which should be slightly in our favor… I think a couple of these guys maybe didn’t have the best opportunity to show how good they were.

I’m not a big fan unless we can get a good second in this draft and a first or a **** ton of seconds.
