2021 Free Agency

Is Graham better than Clarkson? Could uhh we get in on that action? I can’t be talked out of liking Markkanen.
Graham is really good. He's a true PG. He averaged 18 and 7.5 last year, but was limited this year due to LaMelo. If New Orleans can get him to a $15 million a year type deal, they did amazing work. I think he's an NBA starter quality player. This year, he took 8.7 3's a game and hit 37.5% of them.

Just imagine if he was surrounded by good players.

If the Jazz can't get Gay or Porter (as TJ reports they're after), what do you all think of the strategy of keeping that TPMLE dry to possibly use during buyout season to have a shot at the best available target?

I think I'd rather not chance it. I'm not sure if it's possible, but it might be a good idea to split it up and sign two less expensive players. Likely one now, and save the other portion for a buyout.

I have a feeling we may end up with Marcus smart
If for Clarkson I'd probably be quite good with it. I'd be all in on a Mitchell, Conley, Smart, Butler backcourt.

If for Ingles, I could probably live with it, though I'd also hate it on a certain level. They both are high level role players who make good teams better with the little things they do, though rather differently.

For Bogey, I just don't think that would be reasonable team-building. We still need someone, preferably in the frontcourt, who can hit threes at a high level and volume and create secondary/tertiary offense for himself.

Still not seeing a path that makes sense. Does Boston need either Ingles or Clarkson? With Fournier likely gone and with such an anemic bench to start with, maybe they do. But I don't think either matches the Celtics preferred timeline well.

I'm doubting they'd want either after they picked up Josh Richardson.

I’d support. We have a good regular season team. We need to be wise with the next acquisitions..... both in terms of their medium- and long-term costs, but also in terms of fit.
Desperation time doesn’t begin until the trade deadline.

I think JC makes plenty of sense for them if Fornier is gone. I mean, also if he isn’t.
