Following potential 2012 draftees

I just read an interesting stat: Quincy Miller is averaging 14.0 PPG in the second half alone. In other words, he's averaging more points in the second half than anyone on Baylor averages in the entire game (Quincy Acy is their next top scorer with 12.7 PPG). Dude has not disappointed.

Miller is a stud. I'll tell you specifically what I'm waiting for .. he seems to do what it takes for self-promotion and then get lazy (his rep, not my label). I hope and suspect this year will be his break of that bad habit .. but I have to see it. I want to see Quincy get better, for once, during the year ..

From the interviews I've seen, he genuinely seems to appreciate the game more, so I think there's a good chance he kicks the habits you're referring to.

How is his defense?

Here and there .. in the past. One of those things to watch. He does seem to be taking things more seriously now, rather than acting like the world owes him something ..

He has all the tools and appears to have the drive. I had him #4 (with an asterisk) in my top 21 mock, as I recall, but if he continues to show a strong work ethic, on and off the court, he could go all the way to 1 ..

I like what I am hearing from you about him. Defense is a big worry of mine. As a team, if the Jazz are serious about winning a championship then they need the right defensive minded coach, and they need guys that will buy into a defensive system. We are getting some parts, but my personal opinion is that they should regard defense a little higher than offense when drafting guys from here on out.

If Kristers Zeidaks was eligiible this year, Mississippi State would be unstoppable. Damn NCAA's stupid rules.

this is why PKM has been pimping K-G so much

Yep, one of the main reasons. He's also got all the intangibles a coach dreams of .. and can get to the rim at will. However, I'd rank the SF's, at this stage, as;

1. Quincy Miller
2. Harrison Barnes
3. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist

This will change and change, I suspect.

Duke vs. Michigan should be a good game. I think Michigan will win, mostly because I think Duke is extremely overrated this year and I hate them.

Big problem with Duke is that they start 3 shooting guards. No PG and no SF and also their name rhymes with a synonym for vomit.

I think Duke takes it. Their front court has been looking a lot more improved this year, Ryan Kelly is a good college player with a nice touch and Mason Plumlee is athletic as hell, good shot blocker and rebounder, however he just doesn't have a nice touch. Low basketball IQ guy, which is disappointing since he plays for Coach K. Austin Rivers seems pretty good though, struggles with finishing but hot damn he can drive.

I really like Hardaway Jr. from Michigan, he's gonna be a stud. Michigan should be pretty good with Mitch McGary next year as well. Should be a good, close game.

Never mind, I wasn't aware Michigan had absolutely 0 inside scoring. Austin River's is going to be pretty good once he learns how to finish his drives.
