Following potential 2012 draftees

Here's Miller's highlights from his 20 point game.

Big-time talent. Great mobility. Good aggressiveness. Great feel for the game. Good ability to create for himself and finish. Should translate. Plus, he's just a freshman coming off a major injury.

I like what I am hearing from you about him. Defense is a big worry of mine. As a team, if the Jazz are serious about winning a championship then they need the right defensive minded coach, and they need guys that will buy into a defensive system. We are getting some parts, but my personal opinion is that they should regard defense a little higher than offense when drafting guys from here on out.

Miller is an offensive player. As long as he's not a liability, I'm fine with him. We can get players like Hayward and Jeremy Evans to play defense. This guy has Tmac/Carmello offensive potential.

aaaaanddd ... there ya go .. tonight, Quincy Miller, in 32 minutes of play .. 5pts, 3rbs, 1ast ..

the beat goes on ..

Not to be a homer, but keep an eye or two on mike moser from unlv. The ucla transfer is displaying Marion type skills in his first few games after sitting out last year. Leads the nation in rebounding from the sf position. Has range to about 20 and gets to the rim at will.

No worries, this thread is 75% homer talk between PKM and I.

I like Moser. Only caught one game so far this year. Don't know a whole lot about him, but he seemed long, wiry, and athletic. He seems to need add a little strength. Do you know how he's shooting it?

I don't know if I missed this in the thread somewhere, but... Why is Perry Jones not playing for Baylor right now? Is he injured?

Duke vs Kansas tonight. Been watching Rivers a lot and has started to pull the trigger from 3 if a defender sags off him. The results have been fairly impressive. He reminds me a whole bunch of Kevin Martin. Not super explosive, but very quick and shifty.

Hey, you two are not the only homers on this board. Reggie Bullock went off for Carolina last night. If Carolina gets consistent outside shooting they will be nearly impossible to stop.

He did. Did you see the quote from Kendall to Reggie? Love it. "When I pass you the ball, just shoot it. Don't think pass, don't dribble, just shoot."

Not surprising considering we have Poythress in the fold already. I feel we lead for Shabazz (don't go there Verlin) and we're sitting well with Bennet.
I don't EVER sweat recruiting anymore. In case you were alseep, Cy, UK had the #1 recruiting classes in 2009, 2010, 2011, and we're already at #2 for 2012 .. land Shabazz and it's 4 in a row. 2013 will be ridiculous as well. Still remains to be seen if we can win it all with freshman each year, but recruiting is not, nor will not, be the issue. :)

Maybe some of the guys they recruit will actually enjoy college and stay longer. :)
