I've never said the vaccine will prevent COVID infections although it does significantly raise your resistance to infection. What the vaccine does is spin up your immune system so that it can fight COVID off if and when you encounter it.

We need better trolls on this website. I mean, honestly, if you're going to troll at least make it a challenge. Right now a handful of trolls (I suspect they're the same person with multiple accounts) are trashing this forum. They're fingering each other offering us little to nothing to debate and then whine that the majority of us are ignoring them. Do better. Or as someone once said, "Be Best."
 
What all these fear mongering idiots fail to recognize is a difference between - died from vaccine caused side effects/reactions vs died after vaccine from non vaccine related causes. I can die tomorrow from heart attack or stroke. I had vaccines. Does not mean vaccine is the cause.

Yes, I am very well aware of possible vaccine side effects and even deaths - yet risks of dying from vaccine ( even AZ) is so minuscule compared to benefits that it is not even worth discussing. Smoking and birth control pills for example have thousands time higher risk for developing blood clots than getting it from vaccine - yet people somehow freak out about few cases from vaccine.

for the population as a whole sure i agree. Unless you're the perfectly healthy fit 18-30 year old who has pretty much zero chance of dying from Covid and you take the vaccine and die. You can't not talk about a side effect of a medication regardless of the odds, you know first do no harm ??

Not only does this loser not understand statistics, he also doesn’t understand how this virus is spread. That’s been one of the most disappointing aspects of the last two years, the lack of civic responsibility in our society. True, I might not die from contracting covid. But that person riding on the bus, attending my school, at my church, checking out my groceries, etc might. Like it or not, we have a responsibility to others around us to do all we can to limit the spread of this virus. You aren’t your own private island.

Vaccines and masks help limit its spread. Even those with breakthrough cases are contagious for less time than those unvaccinated. Those vaccinated rarely need hospital care. Shouldn’t we be working to help our health care workers out? Shouldn’t we be trying to avoid the hospital with covid so that others with other illnesses or injuries can be attended to?

To me, the narcissists who prolong this pandemic by refusing to think about their responsibility to society have been so disappointing. They’re so narcissistic that they’re consuming livestock medicine rather than take a vaccine. So many narcissists, I didn’t know we had so many out there.

The inconsistencies and self congratulatory postings of this person continue to be simultaneously laughable and mind blowing. Then again as someone in the University system it’s not overly surprising that you’re out of touch with reality. FYI “Thriller” I’m a medical professional. IDGAF about red or blue I’m pro vaccine but I’m also pro rationally looking at facts through a neutral lens and pro people making their own choices. As opposed to you who, well is clearly the least insightful “educated” person on this board who views everything through an extreme partisan lens and has no qualms about opening their mouth and displaying their ignorance.
You think every issue is a binary one extreme view or the other which speaks volumes to your lack of critical thinking and processing and being able to take in nuances and complexities. And you know next to nothing about basketball to boot. You think Joe Biden is competent lol. Your “get educated” is a joke. How about you get a clue, get some perspective, get a grip and most importantly go get ****ed you ******

I left a dirty Tupperware container that had leftover pot roast in it in my desk drawer at work before we were sent home. Pretty sure it’s a bio-weapon now and might end humanity.

Then you’re a shame to the profession that you’re in. Not only have you expressed a lack of understanding of basic statistics but you’ve also shoveled anti vax conspiracy on this website.

So you take offense at my calling your stupidity out to tout that you’re a medical professional (it’s a broad industry so I’m guessing part time Vasa trainer). Great. I guess. So either you’re stupid or shameless. I don’t know which it is. But apparently shameless is what you want.

As far as getting vaccinated vs not, it is a binary choice. Everyone with extremely few exceptions should be ****ing vaccinated. It’s clearly a binary choice. There is no legit “other side” to vaccinations; you either care about yourself, your society, and health care workers or dont.

A few cases of vaccine related deaths I read about had serious pre-existing conditions. Can you post more information about this perfectly healthy 18-30 year old who had vaccine and died? What did autopsy report said?
