This is one of many things that could be fixed in a replacement league--and that would help to make up for the lower average level of talent. Another thing that would help is that the league would have more of their favorite college stars than players with zero to one to two years in the NCAA. Not sure that it would be enough, but these replacements would probably play at a fraction of the salary that the current NBA does. They could make it substantially better than the NBDL, even if it wouldn't reach the pizzazz of the recent NBA.The league could have avoided a lot of problems if they just made the refs call the games fair instead of favoring the stars.
This is all predicated on whether the CBA actually lets them do so.
