Sad but true. We look old, slow, and figured out.1999 Jazz written all over unless we make a big move before the trade deadline. Doke pick was our chance but we blew it. A bogey trade may be our saving grace
Brogdan was available when Conley was on our radar. He was much more of what we needed. Conley is a good player and really nice guy and overall made us a better team, but it was largely because he was an upgrade regardless. But I think a player like Brogdan would have been much more impactful for us. And quite frankly if we could move Conley and Bogey for a player like Jeremy Grant we would be much stronger.I can see why the Jazz traded for Conley. He was a near All Star-level player who was available. The other glaring problem we have is that our wing rotation of Royce, Bojan and Joe isn't all that competitive. They look good when they're knocking down shots, obviously, but they're a pretty limited trio.

Malcolm Brogdon anyone? Would have made all the difference imoWe knew the size and defense issues were major problems for years, before we brought in Conley. We still brought in Conley. We knew we had no one who could hang on the perimeter or stay with the big wings, but we re-signed Conley and didn't make any moves to address this. Apparently the front office doesn't think any of this is a problem. This means we have the most likeable team who are great buddies with each other, who won't get any further than the 2nd round. I just don't see us getting though the gauntlet with exactly the same teams in the way and the exact same weaknesses.
ha! saw this after my last post. yup.Brogdan was available when Conley was on our radar. He was much more of what we needed.
