Like I'd honestly like to see some sort of standardized test for legislators, their knowledge of the Constitution, national law, how government works, international geography, world history, etc.. I bet there would be some of the 30 year vets that know less, honestly because of cognitive decline and actual dementia or mental health issues, but of the under 80 crowd I bet these two would be looking pretty dumb.

It is also worth noting that it isn't only the mortality statistics but also universal reporting of mild symptoms, including no loss of smell or taste, as supporting evidence to the idea of omicron being a far less dangerous pathogen than what we've been dealing with.
They're going up the Greek alphabet except they skipped 2 letters. They skipped Nu because it sounds like "new" and would lead to a who's-on-first confusion, and they skipped Xi because they're worried they'd upset the Chinese government. That gives us Omicron.

Probably true, but as we all eventually get exposed and build up "memory" t-cells, the risk from COVID should decrease substantially unless there are severe mutations that make it even more dangerous. Still waiting too see the likely impact of Omicron.

Well... that's one strategy for the midterms. Definitely not my preference. But if Trumpers want to ruin their chances of retaking the House and Senate because they killed off their own, well have at it. At least the collective intelligence, virtue, and weight of the country will be improved
