Chandler said he doesn't expect to be with Dallas this year. I would love to get him on the jazz with a three or four year deal. Look what he did for the Dallas defense that would give us an excuse to trade Jefferson. Favors and Chandler would be great together on the defensive end. He might be just the veteran leader this team needs to take the next step. I'm guessing we are right at the salary cap.

Is there anyway we could sign him?

I don't think we are ready to take the next step.
This. IMO the time to add a pricey veteran like Chandler will be next year or the year after - whether it's directly as a FA or via trading an Al Jefferson or Devin Harris. This year roll the ball out for the young guys and live with the growing pains.

I'm going to ride your coat-tails like a "superstar" does on this one.

Let's get chandler so that we fulfill the lack of depth in big man rotation

I am glad more and more people are feeling this way. This is how I have felt since the DWill trade.

Chandler may leave Dallas, he may not. But there's no way the Jazz would step in: he wants money. A lot of money.

That's not a good look for the Jazz.

Better to be mediocre and cheap. That's the Miller motto, for both lemons on the lot and on the court.

I could see it, if Chandler was an international player. Then Utah might give him a max deal while pulling in revenues from overseas. All the while, whining about the money they were "losing".

It's more likely Fes comes back then KOC throws the bank at TC.

Wow let's hope not. I say stand pat. The only trades we should consider would be for an upgrade at PG.

Fes would make sense. He's not going to make a bunch of noise about not getting minutes, has shown some flashes, is cheap as dirt and is a good locker room guy AFAIK. Keep in mind, his position would be to hold the bench down and insurance against Memo's leg. It's not like you need somebody really good to do that.

TC would make zero sense. You can't lock up the kind of money he's going to command at a position you just drafted when there are so many young players on rook contracts.

No further bigs make any sense at all actually. Memo, Kanter, Favors, AJ, Millsap...how many more do we need? In this rotation, Memo now fills the role Fes would have, and we at least know that Memo would have to be respected by opposing offenses all the way out to 3. In that group, Favors/Sap/AJ would get the bulk of the minutes, followed by Kanter then Memo. No room for Fes at all, unless we move one of these 5. But I would rather have Memo, another outside threat at the very minimum, than Fes in that role.

Guys get hurt. IMO you gotta have some kind of flotsam to cover Center in case of disaster. He doesn't even have to suit up every game.

Favors can play center. So you use Jeremy Evans at power forward. I doubt two of Kanter/Favors and Memo would be hurt at the same time.
