I'm soooo excited i think we have a chance to surprise alot of people this year. I think the first odor of business should be to try to trade Gorden Heyward since him and Burks already got beef. Maybe we can package him with Kanter and get someone who can contribute right away. Maybe OJ Mayo and Gasol? What do you guys think we should do?

The cruelty of life will never cease to surprise me; as soon as CJs post die down along with the Lockout thread, this shmuck decides to start posting again.

Wow, that came out of left field.

Ok, I don't think anybody would give the kind of value for Hayward the the Jazz would be looking for. I'm pretty sure that the Jazz are the only ones who really put a lot of value in him.

Second, I think Hayward and and Burks are pretty tight. Have you no friends? Do you not know how to do a friendly jab?

As for what we should do, I think that's obvious. We keep the players we have, get some experience for the rookies and see who floats to the top. Lets say that we trade for some high profile player. What would they do? Play out their contract and bolt. It's not because Utah is a horrible place to live, it's because they can get better shoe deals in bigger markets. However, if we raise them here, and find the right kind of people (personality wise), they have a better chance of staying. Now this doesn't always work, (example Deron) But then again, name any team that still has a majority of their original draft picks.

All I'm really saying is lets play our young players and see what we have. There is something to say for hand picking your future talent.

Is this real?

I once heard Warren Buffet give a great seminar on the Odor of Business.

Nah, I went and it stunk. The buffet was good, though...

Gotta agree with dalamon on this one. It seems the lockout caused a backlog of enthusiasm that's bursting forth in new posts right now. I'll be happy when we get to next week and start actually seeing player movement and practices and thus more substance to discuss...

We should terminate your account! That's what we should do.

The first odor of business should be a shower and some antiperspirant or something.

No one has any ideas?

Well, yes. But you see we have been posting in other threads for a few weeks now about this topic. You can find a ton of ideas if you look at the threads that have already been created. Not many of us want to rehash them all in your thread, as cool as you may or may not be.
