Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert tensions are rising

I know many Utah fans can't stomach this but they obviously can't coexist. On and off the Court. Sadly it's for the betterment of the team to separate them and the time to do so is now. There will be another Donovan Mitchell in Utah so you gotta keep him happy. Gobert can go you can find another great defender one with more offensive talent

The sad thing is on the court the exist beautifully (other than Mitchell refusing to pass the ball at times)

I honestly think at the end of the day Mitchell can't stand being the obvious #2 behind Gobert.

Is it a coincidence all this stuff is coming out after they both missed time and the media is starting to say Gobert is the MVP of the team?
 
I don't honestly think its the end of the world if this tandem doesn't win a title... its very hard... I just wanted them to both set their ******** aside and give it their honest to goodness best attempt. Don't have to be besties but can they not dislike each other (over petty ****).

I'm sorry Donovan gets more attention and doesn't kill himself on defense... he's a great talent and a good guy... see the good.

Its just frustrating and sad. Also sucks we don't have a CP3 that comes in and whips everyone's *** into shape... or a Monty Williams that may struggle at times with Xs and Os (in past jobs) but is a world class leader.

Trading an unprotected pick right now feels like getting pregnant and having another kids to try and save a marriage that ultimately going to fail. It will only make **** worse. Ride this out the best you can and figure out the best course of action this offseason.

Bringing in Danny Ainge during the middle of this is akin to involving the wise but overbearing in-law to give advice and handle the counseling. Everyone needed a full on therapy session/program for a while... and if one of the parties wasn't going to participate it was time to make a change.

This ****ing sucks.

I will say this, I blame Ryan Smith way more than I blame Mitchell. Dude is an absolute pile of ****. All these *****ouse trades where we save 400K dollars? Ryan Smith is the one forcing management to do this ****.
 
If I'm another player in the locker room, I'm okay with Gobert going public at times because he's sincere. It's Donovan's sub-tweeting that would rub me the wrong way. It's passive aggressive and makes him come off as thin skinned.

So not to draw too many parallels here... but my parents are divorced. I think both realized well after the fact that they ended up in worse situations than when they were together. My dad in MUCH worse situations. These guys may look back and say "holy **** what did we do?"

I think the front office caving to Donovan is an issue. I think its part of the reason Rudy spouted his stuff to the media rather than going man to man... guessing he's done that. He's still wrong for throwing gas on the fire.

Don needs to get over himself and just love the guy. I mean I have awkward dudes (and a sister in law) in my life that I learned to like and accept for their weirdness. I mean my sister in law was so tough to be around, but when I learned about her whole past I really understood who she was. I've learned to enjoy how cringey and awkward she is... I genuinely just dropped my pride when she says stuff that I feel are demeaning and just kinda laugh at her and call her on it. I actually like being around her where before I couldn't stand it at all.

Just grow the **** up and realize what's in front of you. I'd love Joe to sit down and just go at them... figure this **** out. If its stays "awkwardly passive aggressive" we going to move on and I fear we become the Donovan and friends mediocre team until he ultimately asks out.

Do you think there is a reason the rest of the league hates Gobert and makes fun of him?

THe thing is Joe isnt on this team next year.

Why would Joe come back to us? After a whole season of trade rumors. Personally I would say suck my dick, I'm going to a real contender.

Its still wrong imo... I get it if he isn't feeling heard, but still wrong.

My issue with Donovan is that it seems like Rudy has tried to reach out and build a bridge but Donovan is out. Unless Rudy is hooking up with his old girlfriends I don't see any thing he has done as unforgiveable.
 
Honestly you are either on the Mitchell side or the Gobert side. Question is who's side is the front office on ?

I don't like to use names around here, but your logic is flawed and you're a moron.

Regardless of all the Donovan leaking rumors, he has never thrown Rudy under the bus even in BS rumors.

Yes, because he has a boring basic game that is highly effective and they feel hurt that he can do all the small things and make a All-NBA/All-Star/DPOY/100's of Millions of $ career out of them.

Players still vote Melo as an All-Star. They are either stupid or extremely fraternalistic.
