Trade deadline discussion

Not if we move Forrest to a roster spot.

We have 13 roster players now. We can convert Forrest and sign House.
I mean we could sign him but then what if Lebron gets bought out and we don't have a roster spot for him?

Also, having a full 15 man roster would cost and extra few dollars in luxury tax... if they did that they would need to sell the franchise because they'd be broke... is that what you want?

Also, he won't play 25 minutes a night... so if he isn't going to play you don't sign him... I mean injuries never happen in the nba... it isn't something you should plan on.

No matter how Locke, Jones, Clayton and others will try to sugarcoat this, the Jazz's number 1 goal for the deadline was to acquire a wing defender and they failed to do so.

We are going to live and die by the three ball. If it's falling, we win. If it's not and/or our defense is awful, we lose.

Have to hope we catch fire in the playoffs.

It’s funny that nobody’s tweeting that we didn’t do anything. Well, except Dowsett who validates the frustration.

They must have all been reading this thread.

It seems Jazz are as unserious as they have shown on the court a few times.

How does it sit with Gobert, Mitchell and the others that Ingles got traded for Smith's pockets and Jazz didn't improve like Ingles wanted?

OKC is 23M below the floor... imagine if we had been a little more patient with our financial flexibility trade of Favs... Would it have taken a first?

I do not blame JZ... I blame Ryan btw.

We played too good last night. They think we good.

unless we do a three guard lineup or else i don't see any min for butler going forward. forrest could see a significant reduction in min as well. maybe experiment with NAW at the 3 spot.

How’d we not send out Juancho for second round pick swaps? If I’m OKC, even with all their picks, I’m all over that.

Same **** different year.

If we disappoint yet again this playoffs, we better "pivot" as they have been saying.

Too bad that Conley will be 35, Bojan 33, Royce 29 and Clarkson 30. We won't get hardly anything for any of them if we try a rebuild.

Bingo. This was the time to squeeze value out of at least one of those guys.

For some reason I thought Royce was like 26.

Smith being so money conscious… how much is he paying Ainge? Should’ve rolled with JZ.
When you figure the other partners he has and their deep pockets its pretty wild.

I understand not spending into eternity... its prudent. I just do not want to hear any bull **** about how small market teams can't do it and that the Jazz are "all-in". We are not all in... we are a lot of stuff in. We could have kept the first and used it in a trade and spent a little more. All = everything... Ryan put us like 85% and prioritized his dollars over real trade assets that could be used to improve the team. If he spent and kept the firsts I'm cool.... cutting costs and giving away as many assets as we did is dumb. Just don't sign Rudy Gay... especially if you know he is coming off a surgery. Keep Favs and roll with Paschall... keep the first and figure it out later. Or ****ing waive and stretch Favs.

We are "all-in" as long as "all-in" doesn't cost too much.
