Men tend to gain social power as they age, and conservatism is about keeping the current social power structure. It's self-interest.

I know that there a lot of people who are over 30 and are liberal, but there is no doubt that a big chunk of the liberal base is under 30. It should tell you something about what liberalism is. Liberalism vs conservatism has lot of experience vs inexperience built into it.

Does the famed liberalism of the college professoriate also tell you anything about what liberalism vs. conservatism (more learned vs. less learned)? I'd guess you don't believe in that connection. It's not very convenient for you.

And you should keep what you have earned. You earn your part in the power structure( most of the time)

If you have spent 20+ years busting your butt and climbing the ranks. Making sacrifices. Blood sweat and tears. Should some fresh know nothing 20 year really receive equal treatment as you? Or should they have to earn it too? Should some 40 year old who refused to put in the extra hours or care about their work receive the same treatment? These are really big questions that the left never wants to talk about.

To me that makes the most sense. For the system to work you need laborers and the brains coordinating. Guess who is most capable in each of those scenarios? Sorry, but everyone cant be the manager.

You know who the real "victims" are? The people who sacrificed a good portion of their life working countless hours to become successful while watching those who do the minimum, half *** it, then go home, spoke some pot, drink some beer, and do nothing else for society.

My shame? Ask for forgiveness? Forgiveness for what and from whom? Are you insane?

1 -- The allegation that Russian 'interference' in the election in the form of web bots on Facebook and other social media had a material impact on the vote is conjecture at best. The leaks about Hillary to Wikileaks came from multiple sources, including primarily non-Russian sources. Has anyone been pursued in relation to those leaks as a breach of security? Would attacking the messenger negate the meaning of importance of the information that was leaked? Were Comey's statements about Hillary before the election the doing of Donald Trump?

2 -- Your first premise is specious, making your second meaningless. Hillary underperformed and lost the election due to having a weak identity and message beyond that of the political establishment she served and for having a sordid past with the Clinton Foundation. Everyone knows it, whether they dare to report about it or not. That Trump upset the pundits and the political establishment on both sides of the aisle is remarkable. He certainly has nothing to apologize for in relation to getting elected. He won a fair election by a compelling electoral majority. As shocking as that may seem to some, it's reality.

3 -- Trump despised the entire investigation and insinuation of a tampered election and used strong language. Was he attacking Mueller specifically, or the two-year investigation that bore his name?

In any case, my post was to criticize the corporate media whose behavior has fallen far short of professional standards. You tried to steer my discussion a different direction. You don't like Trump and ostensibly the political disruption he represents. You're entitled to your opinion. Politically speaking, you're just on a losing streak.

I think the dems have moved past the "Russia interfered with the election" narrative, which was always contrived and driven by dismay that Hilary lost the election. They're talking about how certain emails and information got leaked to Wikileaks. There will need to be something else in the report.

As for collusion, we collude all the time with Israel, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Canada, Europe and even China. The word collusion itself doesn't mean anything. The question is whether US interests were really betrayed somehow, you know, like selling Uranium under the table or taking donations to the Clinton Foundation from nefarious characters in a pay-to-play scheme.

It’s so interesting to someone so dismissive of Russian interference in 2016, so poorly informed about uranium one, so concerned over corruption in the Clinton Foundation... is so tolerant of Trump’s criminality.
