What's new

Trump biggest mass-murderer ever?

Horse had well and truly bolted. If you’re going to say that you could then blame Biden for what 6-700,000 deaths on his watch ? I mean Joe said he was going to crush the virus.

The only ppl that’s can truly be blamed are the Chinese authorities who went to such great pains to keep it hush hush instead of sounding the alert properly in the early going

You can't lay all the people who died from COVID at the feet of Trump. No western European country was able to effectively control the disease. The AU and China (not sure about NZ) I think get the award for major nations who controlled COVID the most, but they took measures that would not have been possible in the U.S.. There wasn't some obvious option available that would have prevented the majority of those deaths.
You articulated what I couldn't here.

@Gameface I get the thumbs down, but read the title of the thread.

I hate Trump too. Lol
I took it back a few seconds after I gave it.

I just didn't like the idea that the two of you seem to have talked about going on a ride and now you were like glad we didn't 'cause you suck.

This is a sad time we're in, honestly. I'm just as guilty of participating in it and perpetuating it as anyone. But I left facebook because I realized that people that I knew and mostly people who I worked with and got a long with great in that environment, I was disliking them and having a harder time working with them because of the stuff they'd express online. I just figured I was was better off getting along with more people more of the time and I didn't really need to see the stupid **** they say online (and they didn't need to see the stupid **** I say online). Here I'm all in it but this is really the one place I take the time to express my opinions on this stuff online. Even still it's probably a net-negative thing in my life to get in these political, ideological discussions with people I would otherwise get along with all day.

I agree with most of your post, but need to comment on this.

While the modern anti-vax movement really started with the hippie granola educated left (the same people who complain if their eggs aren't organic and vegan), with a strong sense of "My Billy can't be autistic because of the genes we passed on, it must be something OUTSIDE that caused this." It had long since migrated to pretty much both sides of the divide, so both people who don't trust anything they can't watch grow and people who don't trust nuffim the gov'mint tells them.

Basically, from ignorance to ignorance.

I do grant a bit of a special dispensation to the people who are part of groups that our government actually HAS done experiments on without their knowledge and consent. They have good reason to be distrustful.

Dude autism is caused by watching the avengers movie franchise.

It's funny you say this today cause I was thinking about you while watching a YouTube video. It doesn't matter what it was but basically it was something we both probably have different opinions on.

It hit me that no matter how much I piss you off or we disagree with eachother, we're bro's for life. That's at least how I feel.

If you get along with people in real life and get angered by their political views/social media posts - it's cute to say to look past it.

The thing I will say though that changed my life is studying stoicism. It's a game changer. The ancients were so far behind us in some ways, but not philosophy.

I can recommend some books but don't wanna preach to you. They've helped me.

That was true about 10 years ago. Since then the anti-vax movement has been increasingly aligned with the right. Pretty much all the main anti-vaxxers are now Republicans,.

This really seemed to shift when the nuts aligned themselves with their parties when COVID hit. Dems followed Dems in supporting the vaccine, repubs screamed "ma freedums" in unison. But for the longest time liberalism was the bastion of the anti vaxer.

Is 10 years ago no longer modern? I get so confused...

Yes, that's about the timeframe I was thinking, 10-20 years ago.

Orac has been fighting this fight for years.

As I usually do, I pointed out that it wasn’t that long ago that the prevailing stereotype promoted by the press of antivaxxers was that they are crunchy, hippy-dippy lefties who are antivaccine because they love the “natural” and hate capitalistic profit-driven big pharma. Although there is certainly that element to parts of the antivaccine movement, I also described how that stereotype was never really accurate, given that there has long also been a right wing/libertarian component to the antivaccine movement aligned with the “health freedom” movement, a movement that I like to characterize as demanding the “freedom” from pesky laws preventing quacks from defrauding people.

We also don't claim claim dead kids were just actors.
Pretty hard act for dead kids. Without strings and stuff required by puppet shows, magicians, and news studios.

I've taken a new look at AJ, who is I think in the throes of trial for his crimes in Connecticut. And putting out videos of Ukrainian soldiers doing war crimes on Russian soldiers. Today Al Jazeera(https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2022...ear-to-kill-captured-russians-in-video-report) also posted a video, claiming it was vetted by the NY Times as real, though it carefully placed the word "alleged" in front of the Ukranian soldier identification. Russia was posting alleged war crimes by Ukranian Nazis likes the Azov battalion in 2014, while hundreds of thousands of ethnic Russians fled in the face of genocide fears. No one in our media believed that or cared. Only Russians know how to run fake news story lines.

Claiming Sandy Hook was a staged play, a sort of FBI-dark team psy-ops to promote gun control, was a hard sell because it was a kid who stole his mother's gun who did it. Sure, he had been in contact with FBI agents for years and all that, and yes his mother was shot first. And yes he was on drugs used in the famous MK ultra scheme. but you'd have to prove who actually shot the mom, the kid or the handlers, first.

The easier case to prove would be the Boston Marathon bombers. Sure it was Putin's intelligence agents who tipped the FBI about the terrorists, but it was our FBI who took the laid-back "handler/exploiter" approach to the asset. Talked to them, gave them stuff, pretended to be sympathetic, and very VERY helpful. But you would have to prove that those FBI agents were also very stupid, and that they knew nothing about chemistry or explosives. Well, we won't go there. But it was nice how the TV camera was set up directly across the street from the explosion, and got it all on camera, and out to the news broadcasts.

Ya know. I'm a chemist. From a clan of chemists. My brothers were filling copper tubes with match heads before I learned to read. They would launch these missiles and send me out to search for the tubes, giving me nothing but vague direction and distance guesses. My cousin on the next block was more advanced. His mom converted the garage to a chemistry lab just for him. I'd follow him over to the city park and help him set off his bombs in the concrete ball park bleachers. Those bleachers aren't there now, but our damage was just a few pockmarks, maybe an inch or so deep. The bleachers were taken out by wrecking balls, bulldozers ,etc to make room for an elementary school. If I were given to exaggeration, I'd have left it off at saying the bleachers are not there anymore. But my brother is a Ph.D. today and a top dog in a missile manufacturing military corporation. He was a US observer when the Russians were decommissioning the Ukraine nukes. Should make ya'll sit real comfy knowing my brother signed off on the nuke de-commissioning and oversees our rocket industry today. Bombs too. Makes ya'll just proud to be blowing up the whole damn planet, doesn't it.

My dad was working for the famous chemist in Chicago, Urey, one day when his shoe laces came loose. He stooped to tie them again, and the hood bench he was experimenting on just blew up. People came running to see who was killed. I'm lazier. One day I was working in a lab and making a chemical reagent needed in the research project. The reagent was an organic complex with copper, made because it was so sensitive in detecting oxidation and gave a color change. I put 1g of the slurry into a test tube, set it in a glass beaker, and tried to dry it out so I could weigh it accurately. I used a small drying oven, set it to 60 C. A good drying temperature usually, About 140 F, not enough to boil water, and left the room. About half an hour later, it exploded. People came running down the halls to see who was killed.

The drying oven was demolished, nothing at all left of the glassware. I decided not to take the job with Hercules.

At any rate, I took a good look at the Boston Marathon bomb detonation shown on TV, and even did a thread in here. The alleged bomb was a cooking pot full of explosive and nails. The detonation did not crack the pot, it just blew the lid about10 feet in the air. People nearby were initially unmoved. Then some fog cannisters were set off and the scene covered in smokescreen. Ya know how they do that. Titanium tetrachloride is a liquid that reacts with moisture in the air and makes TiO2 , a very opaque inert compound used in paint as a white base, instead of the old PbO that addles kids who eat paint specks off the walls.. National Lead used to make Dutch Boy paint that way. My former father in law was a Dutch painter who became a bumbling, good-natured old liberal fool painting walls with that stuff. NL decided to cash out and sell off it's business, and that's Sherwin Williams today, sporting the same "Cover the Earth" logo;, but using TiO2 as a base to maximize cover power.. I bet if we could go back and scrape the walls of the houses Red, or Game, grew up in, we'd find both lead and places where kids peeled the paint off to see how it tastes. Probably millions of people like that, all voting democratic.

Well, anyway, after the smoke blew away, there were benches moved, people lying on the ground. From a pot that didn't crack, where the whole explosive force was only enough to launch a lid 10 ft in the air, and did not ruffle a feather or a hat before the smokescreen.

Now, that's a psy-op operation. With all the intelligence and skill the FBI can muster, even on a highly selected dark team. But it's good enough to work on the news.

Alex Jones probably drank the paint by the gallons. For sure, he knows nothing about biochemistry, chemistry, or politics.

But is it really a crime we want to punish, this business of asking questions, even if it's a moron doing it? Yes, it's hard to ask questions that might make people actually think. You have to know the difference between a question mark and a period. If you use the period, you should go to jail, or lose your shirt.

AJ is just a period sort of thinker, not quite at the level of sophistication it takes to do the question mark. Ya know, a question mark is a little hook with a period under it.

Well, Mark Levin and MAGA Monster Trump himself won't associate with AJ, and they are both more Pro-Zelensky than Biden, who has cash under the table riding on the comedian/fool who elevated the Azov battalion to a regimental force under SS troop insignia. Pretty sure it all makes sense to someone. Liz Cheney, maybe.

But lessee....... how does this make the Trump monster murder thread? By putting Trump on the wrong side against Putin, against Mao-idolizing Xi, against Iran's sterling human rights example, against Syrian and Hezbollah and Venezuelan human rights champions.

I see.
