Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

The ONLY reason Mitchell's defense stats look decent is the minutes he shares with Gobert. Period.

I forget that everything Don does great is because of Rudy.

I cannot wait for Rudy to get traded. So tired of this idol worship.

What is up with people making up things in their mind to argue against? Why even quote something if you're going to make up something completely different to get mad at?

You understand how defensive rating for individual players works, right?

We had

104.5 DRtg with Rudy on court, 112.3 with Rudy off court

111.7 with Don on court, 105.2 with Don off court

We will play basketball after Rudy leaves. When players do well, we will applaud them. When we they play poorly, we will hold them accountable. Everybody.

With so many of you "enter your own personal insult here", Rudy is flawless. Just ain't true.

Without Gobert Mitchell would be nothing more than Jamal Murray.

Almost like Mitchell and Gobert play on the floor the majority of minutes. How weird.

Without Mitchell, Rudy got dominated by Jonas Valunciunas and we lost Game 1 of the 2021 playoffs as the #1 seed to the #8 seed.

Rudy is a fantastic regular season player.

Who says Rudy is flawless? He's the best screener in the NBA. The best rim defender in the NBA. The best interior defender and he's DURRABLE.
He's not good at shooting, he lacks post moves his passing isn't special. That said he's the most important player to wear a Jazz jersey since Stockton or Malone.

The playoff faults can very easily be blamed on Snyder. Rightfully so.

Why would the Jazz lose later if they both stayed? They're complimentary "star"

The matrix is with reference to decisions this off-season. I'm mostly in the "keep both" camp. The reference to losing later by keeping both is that you're getting much less a return by waiting for Donovan to ask out. He's gone regardless unless we win two titles and you can't walk away from it, so it's just a question of how much you can get for him. I think you get 90 cents on the dollar now and significantly diminished returns later. I'm totally fine with taking that risk, keeping both, and getting a good coach while cleaning up the roster (even if that's as simple as moving out Conley and Royce and filling those spots with guys like Juancho and House [not necessarily those specific guys filling that role, but just saying opening up more time for two way guys]). I'd like to maximize what we have now and really go for it. I think most people are down from seeing our poor results which I think are artificially depressed as a result of taking an approach that looks at basketball on paper and completely neglects psychology. A new coach could inject that to what we've got. The Celtics turned it around and I know everyone would appeal to "lol they've got all the right tools," but if they continued the trajectory they were on and totally flamed out, nobody right now would be sitting here talking about the Celtics and saying "OMG they've got all the right tools!!1"

Yeah, Lopo does this constantly. It's extremely annoying.
Sorry you don't comprehend. For Rudy fans, the lines are always....

"If any of our players do well, it's because of Rudy. If any of our players do poorly, it's not because of Rudy.
Rudy is a perfect player for what he does well and that makes it okay that he hasn't evolved in any of his struggle areas."

More Lopo making up arguments that nobody else said.

So ****ing true lol last thing I knew defensive rating was a personal stat but apparently not.

Right on cue, Lopo makes up another thing in his mind that nobody else said.
Nobody blames Rudy for anything. Are you serious?

If we said that we lost a series because of Rudy, people would lose their minds around here. Hell, they already did when somebody said we would have beaten the Clippers, or Nuggets, or Mavs if Rudy had an offensive game.
