Look, I know this is hard for you but a lot of people plainly see that he does his best and does all the dirty work on the team and sympathize with him for getting **** on for it. And yeah, it matters that he hasn’t been leaking for years that he might bounce.

All of us know he’s got not-great hands and has vanishingly little interpersonal skills and can do very little with a basketball already in his hands. We know. But we know he gives a **** and he wants to stay and is on the Mount Rushmore of greatest defenders ever.

Did I miss something?

So now I’m not a person?

I’ve followed this forum for years to feed my Jazz addiction but rarely post. The fact that I’m posting now should be an indication to you that maybe, just maybe, you’ve gone off the deep end just a bit?

Yes, you miss a ton or you are blatantly being obtuse.

Donovan has a significantly better defensive rating than Trae? It’s because he plays with Gobert.

Conley has good on/off stats? It’s because he plays with Gobert.

Someone literally said yesterday that the reason Donovan is good offensively is because of Gobert.

It’s comments like these that make you guys seem obsessed and out of touch with reality.

Hey man, I didn't mean it personally for you. Just making a counterpoint to somebody saying a bunch of people are chiming in. With alts, I don't know how many people we actually got around here.

MTSteve wants to psychoanalyze the entire thing when it's simple - I'm not a Rudy homer. I'm a Don homer. I call out Rudy. People dislike me for all that.

I didn’t say a word about Donovan. If you can’t keep your **** straight maybe that’s not everyone else’s fault and these accusations of obsession are obvious projections.

You wanna talk about out of touch with reality and then throw this slurry of **** that I didn’t say back at me? You’re embarrassing yourself.

You must be another Bot... its the only reasonable explanation.

The Rudy/Don stuff is hilarious... its become Fox/CNN... all the right answers are nuanced and in the middle but if you try to hang out in the middle then one side says you are a Rudy ball licker and the other thinks you don't understand fully the value of "advanced screen assist PER".

The blame pie with the Jazz is big enough for everyone to have a helping. Both guys are flawed.

It’s funny because I feel like you used to lean more pro-Donovan after the Clippers series especially and now you lean more pro-Gobert.

It happens. You start debating with one guy with a pro-Rudy stance then another comes through with a completely irrelevant anti-Don stance. It all gets so confusing.

Just remember this - you can't criticize Rudy Gobert because even his weaknesses are the fault of others. And don't applaud Don too much because it takes emphasis away from "the only Jazz player who tries and plays defense."

It's funny because I root for them both and really do like them both and there is no reason to jump to one side or the other. It turns out they both play for my favorite team.
