Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

Due to the BYC rule, the amount of salary going out to PHX for Ayton would be in Bogdanovic's range. Jazz would likely add at least a pick for him. Indiana was reportedly also interested in Ayton, so there is probably market pressure to increase PHX's return for Ayton.

The bigger question is whether Donovan Mitchell needs to be going back to BRK for the Nets to be willing to move Durant. This person was the one who reported that was being discussed.

It just gets so convoluted when they'd have to also move off of Simmons who I can't imagine has tremendous trade value right now.

True, but if BRK wants to move KD in the near future and wants Mitchell in the package coming back, they'll move Simmons somewhere in another deal.

I would only want Ayton if DM stays. Doesn't make sense to send two 1sts, assets and pay him if we are going to be the new OK Thunder.

We better not be the team that helps Brooklyn get out of the Ben Simmons fiasco.

It’s so frustrating to see these large market teams box themselves into a corner time and time again while trying to build a super team only to be thrown a lifeline when it fails.

The ideal trade partner for me is NY. I agree I don’t want to help BK and don’t think they have **** we want anyway.

I’d love a package around either Quickley or RJ (obvs ain’t giving both) with Obi and then likely a crap salary filler and then 3 unprotected firsts.

I think I might prefer Quickley/Obi vs RJ/Obi though.

Then unprotected NYK firsts? Haha…..yes, please.

I don’t think that’s that far out there honestly. Someone tell me I’m stupid.

It also amazes me how these "insiders" don't even understand basic NBA trade rules like the fact Ben/Don can't be on the same team.
They can’t in Brooklyn, they can in Utah. Ironically, Simmons and Don would make an excellent backcourt pair, if only Simmons wasn’t a complete *ssh*t with a broken back.

I’d prefer a deal with NY too. If I could choose RJ/Grimes/filler/picks.

lol

All the national media outlets and all the fans of other teams calling the Minnesota package a godfather haul must just hate Don, huh.
Actually, most everybody outside of Minnesota and Utah is calling it absolutely stupid and completely ridiculous. Minnesota has been mocked over it in most places.

I'm sure somewhere somebody is applauding the move, but most people think it's a joke.

It was literally better than the package Phoenix was offering for KD and caused Brooklyn to up their price.

I just can't believe anyone takes a chance on that Simmons contract.
Honestly… I kind of want the Jazz to be that team to take on Simmons and Westbrook along with the Ayton trade. Of course in my wild dreams we get draft picks for taking on those contracts to let those teams chase their dreams.

Seems some Mitchell fans are a bit bent out of shape that Gobert was traded for future draft capital rather than win now pieces. I believe the writing is on the wall that Mitchell is next.
I am not a Mitchell fan and I dont like it. That future draft capital could turn out to be rotation players at best. Our best option now is to trade Donny or find someone else who likes mid first round picks and package them as part of deals with Mike and Bogey to get some real talent. Rudy is going to be hard to replace

Beverly, Westbrook, Simmons and a 34 year old coach. Aight.

I dont get why Minny did it and I dont think it ends well for them. I also dont like what we got but you already know that. Bleacher Report gave us a C+ which I think is about right.

Me and others: As much as I love Gobert and am sad to see him go, I am excited that we got a godfather haul for him.

Lopo/YoungJefe: lol this don hate is getting out of control.
I wasn't referring to a Rudy haul rather people calling him a chucker, saying 6'1 guards aren't in demand, and dragging him down as if he won't get a haul in a trade. Y'all are Rudy fans, not Jazz fans, lol.
