Apparently we almost traded Conley to the Clippers but they backed out after getting Wall. One more reason to dislike the rockets? We could have traded Conley if they didn't buy out Wall

I mentioned this trade the other day:

Conley for Powell and Bullock

Powell and Bullock are both expirings. Conley is the best player in this trade. Since Dallas added Christian Wood, Powell is expendable. Might sting a little to lose Bullock, but Tim Hardaway is going to come back full time next season. Gives us two more role players, but mainly, gets us off Conley's contract for 23-24.

On the pod with Jake Fischer, Andy Larsen said he thinks if the Jazz get a Gobert like offer for Mitchell, they'll trade him right now.

Been thinking a lot about the possibility that offers for Mitchell are likely lower than the offer for Gobert today.

Sounds like that’s probably the case. Which is unsurprising since it is one of the biggest hauls for a single player in league history and it broke the market.

It would have to be Bertans + Pick compensation for taking on Bertans and giving them a good player back, which the Mavs probably cant afford.

I don't see why Dallas would be so attached to Bullock. Conley slides so well into that role Brunson was playing.

And get Conley yes. they have a cap crunch and just let Brunson walk to save money. Didn't end up with Dragic either so... they might be ready to do it.

I don't understand why we are in such a hurry to push Conley out the door if his value is this low. Just bring him off the bench if Don needs to be a pg. His value will creep up in the regular season so long as he is healthy... Danny will do the right thing.
