I'm fairly certain that the Nets offered that before Minnesota traded for Rudy.* desperate. They're thinking..."Hmm, the T'wolves made a shortsighted play for Gobert. Maybe we can get in on some of that..."

Not exactly KD's preferred destination, but maybe the idea is that Minny would then forward KD on to PHX for PHX's trade package. That said, teams aren't going to give up their #1 guy for KD.

Had to have been before the Gobert deal methinks. At least I hope. I had some respect for Marks before this whole fiasco. They don’t have any picks to trade left that was definitely before the Gobert deal.
THe weirdest thing is just how bad Mitchell has been in transition. Those stats are actually insane when you consider how athletic and explosive he used to play. Here are his percentiles in transitions since entering the league:Ainge said this season we are going to be a up and down transition team , run n gun so I dont expect many lollygaggers on the team this year that cant run
IDK how the stat is configured but it makes sense when you think about what he has had around him. We were so unathletic on the perimeter.THe weirdest thing is just how bad Mitchell has been in transition. Those stats are actually insane when you consider how athletic and explosive he used to play. Here are his percentiles in transitions since entering the league:
-2017/2018 - 38.1 percentile
-2018/2019 - 13.2 percentile
-2019/2020 - 9.5 percentile
-2020/2021 - 24.5 percentile
-2021/2022 - 24.6 percentile
Those stats are bonkers. It's kind of hard to believe it when you see it. This is one of the things that's holding back Mitchell the most... the play type that most superstars excel at and bump up their efficiency with is the one where Mitchell struggles with the most. He's actually really good at the hard parts of offensive creation.... but the really easy stuff he needs massive improvements with.
It's not that weird. He's a terrible 1 foot jumper and he's 6'1. He also prefers to walk the ball up the court. He's never been a transition pusher.THe weirdest thing is just how bad Mitchell has been in transition. Those stats are actually insane when you consider how athletic and explosive he used to play. It's not about volume. It's about success when you actually do it. In essence when he tried to score in transition he was not good at it.IDK how the stat is configured but it makes sense when you think about what he has had around him. We were so unathletic on the perimeter.
He's the biggest reason we've been bad in transition though. there's plenty of teams who arent great athletically who excel in transition off the 3. Don is a serial walk the ball up the court guy tho.IDK how the stat is configured but it makes sense when you think about what he has had around him. We were so unathletic on the perimeter.
Conley, Rudy and Bojan are so well known for their end to end speed and athleticism.IDK how the stat is configured but it makes sense when you think about what he has had around him. We were so unathletic on the perimeter.
You're a clownHis game is predicated off Gobert getting him open.
Rudy is the only reason Don was good too btw, these dudes are racist clowns.Conley, Rudy and Bojan are so well known for their end to end speed and athleticism.
While Royce is afraid to dribble. If Clarkson gets it, he has to shoot within two dribbles, and he sucks from 50 feet.
Makes for great transition basketball....
Its crazy when you got Lopo and Jefe blocked you got threads with like 3 post on a page lmao and you miss nothing of substance.
Rudy - 95th percentile (7% frequency)Conley, Rudy and Bojan are so well known for their end to end speed and athleticism.

I guess so... I just think you would need other guys running too and we have had very little athleticism. I'm sure he shares in that but I'm not sure its 100% his fault... he may walk it up because you can't do 1 on 3 fast breaks. He's the biggest reason we've been bad in transition though. there's plenty of teams who arent great athletically who excel in transition off the 3. Should've put Rudy at PGRudy - 95th percentile (7% frequency)
Conley - 24th percentile (8% frequency)
Bojan - 44th percentile (22% frequency)
Clarkson 47th percentile (14% frequency)
Mitchell 25th percentil (15% frequency)
(those are from this season)
