Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

Bleacher Report suggested this trade.

Dallas Mavericks Receive: Malik Beasley (cannot be aggregated until Sep. 6), Mike Conley

Utah Jazz Receive: Josh Green, Tim Hardaway Jr., Dwight Powell, 2025 first-round pick (top-one protection)

Are the Jazz waiting until Sept. 6th to trade some of the Minnesota folks?

No thanks on this one.

I want to keep Beasley. He's been a 20ppg scorer two different seasons, and he's a proven shooter. He could be a great backcourt mate with Don and Beverley.

Conley to Dallas makes sense though. They could use a guy like him.

That answer Zanik gave to the Donovan question is anything but commitment and glowing endorsement of Donovan. Imagine MKE GM saying "Giannis is very important part of what we do, but things evolve in the league and can't say anyone is untouchable"....

This to me is pretty open invitation to teams - "Come on, wow us! Lets see all those picks you've been hoarding"...

That's about the long and skinny of it.

Not a rumor, just a suggestion. I still believe in Markelle Fultz. When he was bombing in Philly I hoped we’d trade Dante for him. Now he’s in Orlando where they seem to have a lot of point guards (Anthony, Suggs). It’s a gamble with injuries and shooting problems, but if healthy he’d be a good backcourt mate for Don, with good size, defense and playmaking. Maybe Danny can convince Orlando that what they really need is a veteran point guard (i.e. Conley) to mentor their young team.

There is no comparison between those 2 guys though. Giannis is an all time great in his prime and Donovan is a really good player in his prime with some big limitations.

I agree. I cannot get mad at DM if he wants to leave after that comment. The reality is the NBA is a business and fans should realize that organizations are going to do what is best for them. Yet it is the players who get lambasted for lack of loyalty. I never understood why,

That was a pile of sheeps pluck. Why even post it. Windhorse and his gnaves speculating about what Donovan wants with some underhanded slights at all things Utah, Donovan's character, and Ainge's character.

Fact remains that we have a fabulous player who we can trade or keep. We will listen to offers more than ever but if they aren't there then we have a year with Donovan as the key player on a weaker team with lots of assets.

Best take away was the Paul Pierce comp. That led to a championship in Boston WITHOUT giving away their star player in a fire sale.

No offense but the fact remains that only one party incurs financial risk and liability and the other party receives an obscenely generous guaranteed salary to live out their childhood dreams.

If Miami picks up Mitchell does Wade sell his stake in the Jazz and go back to the heat to work with DM?
