2022 Annual Jazzfanz All Time NBA Draft

You brought up post Magic loss accomplishments. Why?

LeBron lost to Dallas then went on to win titles after. He actually beat a team better than anybody MJ ever faced in a Finals.

Uhh. He won two titles after. Not three. He was also younger. I also think saying the Thunder were better than any team the Bulls faced is total bull **** since they never made it back to the finals.

I don’t see the comparison. Lebron in his absolute physical prime lost to a true great of the game and a bunch of role players with the most talent-packed roster in the NBA. Then winning two more rings and losing a third.

You think that is analogous to a 32-year old Jordan who wasn’t in basketball shape losing to the Penny/Shaq Magic. Then winning three more rings in three years. And who never lost a finals.

We are seriously in the weeds here. I honestly don’t know who I would rank above the other, you’re just kind of doing the thing you do. All I’m combatting is the most laughable notion I have ever seen uttered on this site, which is that MJ is ****ing Demar DeRozan.

-MJ is tougher than Lebron, no one should dispute that.
-Lebron is more talented and physically gifted than MJ, no one should dispute that. He’s also never burned out and will end up the all-time scoring champ. Incredible.

Dude, you're beating a dead horse. I was comparing MJ to DeRozan in terms of play style. Let that go.

MJ never lost a finals because he never played a dynasty or even former title team in the finals (Lakers don't count because Magic never won a title without Kareem who is a top 4 player all time).

Who you play matters. MJ never lost to a team like Dallas, but he also never even played against a team as good as SA or GS much less beat them.

No GOAT

I will never let that go. It’s one of the most incredible takes I have ever heard of. I could reason how a 6-year old Raptors fan in 2015 could think that, but this?

Based on SRS LeBron faced the toughest 5 opponents out of them both and then it’s mixed in after that. Pretty hard to dispute that.

And how many were San Antonio?

What's your point?

Seeing where the Thunder ranked.

I would also not dispute that the Spurs and Warriors are better than most or all of the teams that the Bulls played.

Sounds like according to the above analysis that the Thunder were on-par with what the Bulls normally played.

I could see that. Thunder were in many ways like that Sonics team MJ faced. Good but flawed

Lol. Okay. Sure.

In his day, MJ was a top athlete. Maybe #1.

In today's game, MJ is not a top athlete. Maybe top 10.

So you are saying with modern training and modern medicine and developing in modern systems that Jordan would not be a top athlete today? Uh-huh. Sure.
