Scrimmage

That was fun. I gotta say I'm either very Impressed or satisfied with everyone. CJ, Bell, Evans, Harris And Hayward looked superb.

Kanter seemed like a black hole on offense, but he played good d on Favors, got some boards and played hard.
He'll be fine. Needs a lot more time before we can start coming down on him.

Well, that was it.
Pretty short, but it was nice to see most of the players in action.
I think the Millsap and Jefferson injuries were made up so they had an excuse not to play.

I can't wait to see them actually compete against another team.

Exactly. He looks like Kosta. Not saying he will be a bad player, but the game is so fast for him right now.

Yep, he has the same "Oh god I have the ball what do I do?!?" look at times. Hopefully it really is just a product of his lack of PT in the past two years and not a sign that his natural bball IQ just isn't that high.

So themes from the the scrimmage-

Memo is in great shape.

Raja Bell looks like what we thought we were getting last year. He hit his shots and look very comfortable in his role.

CJ Miles looked very good tonight. He drove the ball and ran the fast break well.

Hayward looked good. Had a good all-round game.

Favors is in great shape.

It's just youth and inexperience. But he's going to need to sit and watch for a little while based on what I saw.

Kanter needs to practice jumpshots from the free throw line to the top of the key, he'll never jump over people in the post.

The young bigs look...young. And big. Favors had a few nice moments, but that's like every game he's played for us. Kanter is not ready. Evans looked better than both of them.
