Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

The S &T for Collin Sexton was interesting and I wonder if the DM trade to NY has hampered that. I don't see Cleveland signing him and the only way he is going to get a decent paycheck will be through a S & T. He could be the tank commander and make the jazz that much more interesting to watch. It might cost us a few losses, however.

It’s been awhile since any rumors outside of Donovan came up, but I still think Bogey, Clarkson and Beverley get moved before the season. The indications that we’re full on tanking - with or without Donovan - are too strong. I can see holding off to see if you can shake the Knicks down before selling off everyone else, but if they can negotiate favorable deals, I’d move forward with them.

could knicks possibly see Sexton as DM's backup plan?

just like when KD/Kyrie didn't happen in 2019, they signed Randle as backup. as ridiculous as it sound but they've done that before. at some point they may get too upset about Ainge asking too much and just say "**** it Sexton better"

I'm gonna go ahead and say no... since they had space and could have taken him instead of Brunson at a cheaper price.

So we’ve got like 300 guards, no wings, and no centers.

Can we at least get moving with the Conley/Bogey/Beverly/Clarkson/Beasley deals while NY decides which way they’re gonna let us **** them? I mean we’re not kidding anyone about what the intentions are for next season. So can we just get on with selling the rest of the vets while we wait? I’m ****ing bored.

The nba stepped in and made the jazz send the picks but they were future picks. There was no way of knowing what picks they would be so they definitely didn't go out of there way to stop Magic from going to the jazz.
I mean they took the jazz #1s in the years that Magic and Bird were available to be drafted, the most marketable Stars to ever be drafted to that point. It wasn't an accident.

I agree but I’m sure it’s some dumb, necessary, level of leverage to say to NY “we will just keep him and run it back without Rudy……try us”

If they traded the others first it hurts that position, I’m sure.

Technically, that Italian guy they just signed is a wing.

Yes!! Please please please make a trade here, I do not care if it is for a ham sandwich. Conley should not be tying up any resources in the coming rebuild. Move him out.

Also I kind of hope he gets in a situation where he can win. He is a nice guy and I hold no ill will toward him. But he was never the piece we needed and no one could see that. I wish him well and really hope he isn't here next year.

I think there is a strong chance he is traded at the deadline as I believe he can rehab is value and more teams will have needs due to injury / situations not working out.
Worst case he’s an adult in the room to help the youngsters. It’s shocking his value is this low. He will have a good month or two and if there’s an injury we will get something for him.

I think it's also likely that a team like the Clippers realizes that John Wall is not the answer there. The only thing that gets tricky is we end up competing with ourselves as we try to offload Beverly as well.
