When the Republicans take back the House in November, they, and yourself, will have all sorts of opportunities to make mountains out of all these molehills. Oh, there not molehills? Well, compared to a Big Lie that damages, to a degree not yet fully clear, our body politic, some might say molehills, some might say there’s no comparison. Perhaps even irreparably damaged, since restoring faith and trust in elections may be a job for the people who put toothpaste back in tubes. Think Hunter’s drug use has the same consequences to the body politic?Also might be molehills compared to the full extent of Trump’s effort to overturn a free and fair election as well. But, after November, you’ll have your shot at President Hunter Biden.
 
If they are flipping out, to this degree, over a search warrant for documents Trump has been told he had no right to remove from the White House, what will be the response if the DOJ actually indicts Trump for any charges related to, not these documents, but the buildup to and events of January 6? That said, it does feel like we are in the opening chapters of a civil war. JMO.

Maybe, but I really ask myself, what would be the desired outcome of said civil war? Removal of all individual liberties? Return to segregation? Separate but equal codified in the constitution? Abortion criminalized, along with miscarriages and anyone helping any women with pregnancy complications? President/Dictator Trump serving for life? Elimination of checks and balances in the structure of our government? What do they really want to accomplish? So they kick off a civil war since the FBI raided one of Trump's residences. So they start fighting, and killing people, and what do they want to come out of it? Just an orgasm from achieving their fever dreams of killing people with their 200 guns? Seriously, a civil war has to have targets, end-state goals, and then finally, consequences. Talk of a civil war is just about the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Not that some right-wing militia groups and citizens with murder fantasies might band together and put up a show of force, but take the real actual civil war we had. We had a literal division in the country. I am sure not everyone on the north side and everyone on the south side agreed with the reasoning entirely for their side to fight, but enough did to allow it to happen and to support it. But it was a fundamental change to our country the likes of which we have never seen before or since. These idiots really think 50% of the population will support attacking the other 50% because Trump might be held accountable for his actions? How remarkably stupid.

I think they should band together and start this civil war. Every single right-wing militia group and extremist who feels attacking our seat of government was a patriotic act because we can't lose an election!!1! How can we lose, it has to be yet another conspiracy!!! We could have cheerleaders and everything!!!1! We are the 'muricans, mighty mighty 'muricans!!! We have spirit, yes we do, we have guns, how 'bout YOU?!?!? 'Muricans let's fight, get Trump a vict'ry tonight!! Let's FIGHT!!! Who do we want? TRUMP!! What do we want? While this is technically true it is hard to deny that some privilege from daddy wasn't brought to bear to cover this **** up. He is a piece of ****, no doubt. He should have been prosecuted at some point. Just because the statute of limitations might have lapsed does not make it any more morally defensible.

I don't think the FBI's role is limited to investigating things they judge to have the same consequences to the body politic. I don't think they should be making that judgement at all. There are federal laws and the FBI should enforce those laws regardless of how big or small the law is, or the political leanings of the law breaker. With how the FBI operates, there should not be one standard for those on the political right and a blind eye being turned when it comes to Hunter Biden.

Hunter Biden is currently under investigation. Just because charges haven't been filed yet it doesn't mean they won't be. Trump hasn't been charged yet, either.

I figured law enforcement was simply looking the other way about hunter with the way trumpers talk.

Obviously the investigations into hillary and hunter were/are done by republicans with badges and were/are simply witch hunts… said none of us considered to be liberals.

I fully agree. And if it’s warranted, I expect Republican investigations of Hunter, beginning in 2023, assuming of course that they win the House, could spur the DOJ to open an investigation. IF it is actually warranted. Because I do not believe, for one instance, that Garland is otherwise sitting there saying “I’m not touching Hunter Biden, unless someone forces my hand” I do not believe Garland and the FBI are deliberately burying Hunter Biden wrongdoing for political purpose. But, I think you do believe that is the case. Maybe you have information I lack, telling you that no FBI look at Hunter has yet taken place, and none will, because Garland does not indict Democrats. Garland is all about protecting Joe Biden and the Democrats. Lol.

Biden has only had one AG so far. How many AG’s did Trump go through, looking for one that would swear loyalty, not to Right or Left, but to one man? How many AG’s did Trump go through, hoping for one loyal, not to the constitution, but to one man? Did Joe make sure Garland swore loyalty to him?

And I suspect you just want that DOJ look-see simply to deflect. An individual, who believes the military should be loyal to him, not the Constitution, and who quite obviously believes he is above the law, in a nation of law, is not newsworthy enough. You did not even want a 1/6 committee. You said the attempt by Trump was a joke, in that it could never have succeeded. And, you know, I kind of felt the same way, surely the Supreme Court would step in, I thought. It would never have succeeded. Yet, thanks to the committee you thought should not sit at all, we now can see just how involved this plan was. Just how un-American this MAGA clown really is. Every bit as un-American as General Milley described in his unsubmitted letter of resignation.

So, I think you’ll have your day. And if Hunter broke laws, well then, he should be called to account. No man is above the law. Not Donald Trump. Not Hunter Biden.

If that happens then I would be unhappy with the Republicans because the Legislative Branch is not law enforcement. Hunter Biden is not a government official. The House has no civilian oversight authority. If after the GOP wins control of the House there is an investigation into the FBI's handling of Hunter Biden then I'd be all for it because they do have oversight of that. The ends don't justify the means. It shouldn't be about which side wins control so they can use the levers of power to prosecute their enemies. I believe in limited government with each area having clearly defined powers and consequences for stepping outside their box.
