If the NBA sucked I would agree, but the NBA is so good and so deep right now, I really dont think it will be a struggle to be a bottom 5 team. We might be the 4th/5th worst instead of the worst, but at the end of the day the ultimate goal is still the exact same % chance of happening either way.

Come on, man. The guys who put these rosters together are professionals. This is what they do all day. They know what they’re doing and if what you’re seeing doesn’t make sense, it’s because you can’t see the big picture like they can. All of this is for sure for the best, because at this level you don’t make mistakes. It’s impossible to make it that far making mistakes or being careless. Never mind the fact that in a couple months we completely tore down everything the previous administration built up over a decade because it didn’t work out. And realize that no executives or franchises are below average. They’re run by pros. These guys are in the 99.9%tile. None of these guys finish in the bottom half. There isn’t even such thing as a lottery. All teams reach the finals.
He doesnt rely on huge amounts of explosion though. His athletic gifts are more nimbleness which typically age better. Look how guys like Lou Williams/Jamal Crawford/Eric Gordon have aged.
We are headed for a Ty Corbin season. We will see if Hardy can avoid the temptation to rely on the vets... but coaches generally try to win games. Thibs in NY is a great example. Knicks fans would love to see IQ/Toppin more, but as long as they have Rose, Randle, Fournier... guess what... those other dudes gonna take a back seat. Get ready for too much time for Raja Bell and Richard Jefferson.
I really can't see us keeping both JC and Sexton long term... they are going to be horrible together.
They dont have to play that much together.
JC gets 27 minutes a night and Sexton gets 30-32 minutes a night... they will share the floor for 10-ish minutes a night. I don't care that it will make us worse obviously... I just care that the other 3 players on the floor won't see the ball and ball hogginess spreads bad habits.
I'm just assuming Hardy is going to be pushing habits more than winning. So guys who guard, guys who pass, guys who play team basketball will get rewarded. Yes, I'm sure some level of veteran bias will happen, but I think it wont be huge.
I don’t think we can either but will be close enough that you don’t complete shut **** down like OKC does.
I’m sure the vets will love seeing more bench because the first year coach doesn’t like that they shoot too much or don’t hustle back on defense.
