I think it's mostly mental. He needs to be on a team that lets him be himself. Utah needs a PG and they have a ton of shooting to put around him. It makes sense. We wouldnt be those weirdos asking him to shoot 3's.
Vando and simmons on the floor together could be problematic.

The amount of fouls was insane. I wonder what the record is for fouls in a game. There were 56 fouls in this game. A 48 minute game. That is not good.

Sexton has been the most underwhelming player so far this season.
agreed yet he is still averaging 12 points in 18 minutes (24 points per 36 minutes) He has been quite bad but still gets some numbers. I think he will get there if he can stay healthy.

Really sucks he got hurt tonight as there was so much foul trouble he could have gotten a lot of minutes and he was 2-3 from the field and had the best plus/minus on the team tonight in his limited time.

If Quinn was coaching this game he would not have called a timeout when a team has a bit of a run on at least hardy tries to put a stop to it straight away
Agreed. I think hardy has been quite good with the timeouts so far this season. I thought he should have used a challenge tonight though. He needs to get better at that.

Why would he get minutes? Simone is clearly next up, not Ochai. Even NAW is before Ochai at this point. It's going to be a bit before you see him consistently.
Injury to sexton. Vando foul out. KO foul out. Conley nearly foul out. Im surprised he got zero minutes.

Markkanen seems like a bad shooter to me. Flat shot, kicks his head back. His career says he should be much better than this, so hopefully it picks up.
Ya as awesome as he is, I have concerns with his outside shot. Really flat

I mean, the whistle went both ways. I'm not sure who got the overall most benefit, but they were calling a ton on both sides. I didnt really notice any disparity.
They had 30 fouls and we had 26 fwiw

Dude gives me prime Blake Griffin vibes with his vertical for his size.
Nice call but I have to think its a bit hyperbolic. Blake was insane. Lauri is just crazy but not quite insane.

I'm not going to pretend this game was well officiated, but in the bigger picture Vanderbilt really needs to get his fouling under control.
I think if he gets his fouling under control then maybe that means he isn't playing quite as hard and that lessons his value. He gets some cheap fouls crashing the boards but I dont want him to stop crashing the boards for example. Thats what make him great.
