Last night's officials were blowing the whistle far too much. The rest of the nights Vando has had some stupid *** fouls. He just needs to cut out the dumb one or two. Even so... just go out there and do it. Love Vando but 25-30 minutes is just fine with his offensive limitations.
This is where we are headed. Likely too late to make enough trades to make us worse without it being effing obvious. The guys we want to keep are too good for us to be awful.
Vando needs to work on his positioning. He's relying too much on his athleticism and effort. It works much of the time, but when there's a guy constantly going over the back and late on helpside rotations, the refs don't give him the benefit of the doubt in 50-50 calls.
As crazy as it sounds IF we think we have a shot at say a top four seed, we should trade our own pick right away while it still has major cachet for an SGA, Giddy, Fox or Haliburton. Conley and NAW + our pick for SGA works for me. OKC has to be motivated as SGA and Giddy are redundant. Conley or Sexton and Azubuike + our pick for Haliburton and Turner is another sweet deal. These guys are all game ready unlike a random pick and it would totally remove any ambivalence regarding goals and intent.
