FA PG - How about Rajon...

Last night was at least entertaining. I think it showed that an experienced PG is vital to this group. Certainly trading to get a player you like is an option. There's been and will be lots of talk about who to trade and when. If there's still a desire to see what this group can do, then why not go get a Rajon Rondo while Mike is healing and through the rest of the season? His experience and leadership could be valuable. Hell he put up almost 5 assists per game at Cleveland last year off the bench.

Roast on....

No thanks to Rondo. He joined the Cavs a year ago to replace an injured Rubio. Not a successful experiment. We are better off with Gay.

Congrats... you found an option that made me say "I'd rather play NAW".

Orlando has a surfeit of point guards on their roster, Fultz, Anthony, Suggs and Hampton, AND recent trends suggest that they’re tanking for Wemby. Anthony and Hampton are on team friendly deals and both are better than anything we have currently, short of Conley.

No to Rajon, but got me thinking. Do we think our PG of the future is going to come via draft, free agency, or is he already on the team?

If you are looking for a stopgap or a player that could potentially look like a future piece here are a couple of trade targets or signing that could be interesting.

Euros (would need to cut someone)

Wade Baldwin - We all like big guards and we can not lie. His 35% from 3 is respectable and he does have some NBA experience.

Mike James - what a vet

Shane Larkin - at 29 I am sure Larkin would love another shot and the NBA and he has played on the back-to-back champions

Nate Wolters - Putting him on because I am a fan and I believe has played for the Jazz

Trades

Payton Pritchard - just not getting playing time in Boston. DA player

Patty Mills - Maybe pry him away from a bad situation in Brooklyn. Not a huge fan but ...

Theo Maledon - Not a replacement player right now but I am a big fan

Raul Neto - Why not?

Corey Jospeh - maybe?

TJ McConnell - Might be had.

Jason Preston - needs a development. Not getting playing time. not a solution right now.

Pat Beverly - ROLFMAO

Jevon Carter - I WOULD LOVE THIS

Devonte Graham - Might be available

Miles McBride - I am a fan

RJ Hampton - This would be my #1 target on this list

Shake Milton - He has had his moments

Gary Payton - More of a defensive force but I like his experience

Matthew Dellavedova - Have always been a fan

Will do more research into this there are some interesting names

G-League

Also needs some research

NAW has a lot of skills, but cannot shoot.
With NAW it is a confidence thing right now and it is impossible to build confidence without consistent minutes. The guy can definitely shoot a little as evidenced by his 34.7% from 3 his first 2 years and 38% from 3 in college. I'm really hoping that we finally get hit by the injury bug so that we can see NAW and Ochai get consistent minutes.

Free NAW. There is a chance he gains some confidence and can become an option to keep Mikes minutes down for the remainder of the season.

We freed him last game. Made a 7 point difference the other way singlehandedly with 3 TO in 3 minutes. How did the game end again?

Oh and -7 on his other stint as well.

I would free NAW if we have... say... 30 point lead? Otherwise naw for NAW.
