From an injury standpoint yes, from a communicable illness standpoint the edge might be to office workers who work in close proximity. In the warehouses the forklift drivers can easily keep separate from each other, the place is big. But I am in relatively close contact with my managers and clerks most of the day, that is where the illnesses spread the most.I would think there would be a higher rate of physical injury, and the need to deal with it's lingering effects, among blue collar workers. I only did construction for about 6 weeks one summer (the company went bankrupt), but it seemed physically taxing. Since transferring to office work, I have never had work-related pain.
