Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

Oh no, they eat into our cap space, now how will we ever be able to sign a superstar in free agency?
I was looking more at using that expiring deal to take on a bad contract from another team and adding an actual asset. Having 25M or so in space could actually help us sign a useful player.... and yes... it does happen. But carry on with the cap space doesn't matter unless you sign an all-star route you want to go on and ignore all the different and better uses there could be for than asset.

THT doesn't prevent them from doing this, lol.

THT is still a solid project for us. Unfortunately we have a massive minutes crunch right now and NAW has been playing great over the last few weeks.
Ehhhhh... if you can't get time when the starting point guard is out because another project steals your spot in the rotation.... that's not a real great project.

Again, cool with a project... but it should have some upside and not have a 2/21M contract.

Prevent... no... complicate ... yes. We don't have cap space next year unless JC opts out, we decline the option on Beasley, and we waive Mike. THT being gone would make that dance easier. Say we don't want to be a cap space team anyway and we keep all those guys... We gonna use the MLE and bump up against the tax? Sorry... I'd rather have the cap flexibility one way or another and THT's deal makes that much harder.

But yeah lol.

No trade rumor or anything... but Hornets suck ***... thinking about front court fits with Kessler and Lauri (those are the current surefire long-term building blocks imo) and Jalen McDaniels and PJ Washington are both sitting there wasting away in Charlotte. Both are free agents and neither should get a crazy offer. They may just retain both. Jalen is unrestricted and MLE type money might be enough...

I just wonder if there is a deal we could do to get one now? Two guys to watch in FA either as outright signings or sign and trade guys.

Offer them Gay and or DOK for one if the money fits. If they say no, oh well.

I wonder what would have happened if the Jazz just kept him.
We can huff some copium and claim the positional overlap would have made it harder for Lauri to breakout and we may not have discovered what we have there without clearing Bojans usage.

Don't think it's true, but it can make us feel better

Kuzma apparently wants out… said to want a big market though. Wonder if he’d like to come back to Utah since he’s familiar with it. Prolly wants to go to a place he wants to sign long term with.

Think the wiz may blow it up… some weird quotes from Beal recently make me think he may be asking out soon.

I've gone from really wanting Kuzma, to thinking he was empty stats and overrated, to really wanting him again. He's done a nice job at rounding out his game.

Sounds like he wants to be back with the Lakers lmfao.

What is the most you would offer for him?

Well of course he does, but I would bet if you gave every single player in the NBA an anonymous poll about which single team they wanted to play for, 95% of them would check the box next to the Lakers. Those remaining would check something like Miami, or maybe Boston. One at least would check the box next to the Knicks. But really every single one of them, when being 100% honest, would want to play for the Lakers. It is better for their career in many ways, not the least of which is endorsement possibilities. You better believe the national and even regional endorsements available to even mid-level players in the LA area eclipse what endorsements like Zion's Bank and American First CU pays to Jazz players.

I'd steer clear from Kuzma. He'

No doubt, but I think Kuz has an extra hard on for the Lakers

Given how Caruso was a daily fixture on ESPN for a bit, and finished high on fan All-Star voting returns and everything, I would be fascinated to see Ingles status if he came up on the Lakers instead of the Jazz. I think a sassy unassuming Australian hooper would have an animated series, a line of merchandise, and just be an icon
