I wouldn't be shocked to see Nassir Little coming back to the Jazz in a deal for Vando with the Blazers.
 
I know Zion is out, but what the hell is going with NOP? 10 game losing streak, 3-15 in their last 18 games. They've got to be feeling some heat right now.

Player 1 on/off differential -6.4
Player 2 on/off differential +7.7

Player 2 also averaged 20/5/4 last year in a 13 game sample if you want to use a limited sample. He is also 12/8/3 and 1 steal while shooting 35% from three and is a significant upgrade on defense.
 
Beyond the obvious problems with that kind of comparison, it makes no sense to present NAW and Josh Hart as an either or situation.

Ha... I thought it was Vando... yeah Hart and NAW could both very much be here together.

I wouldn't mind Little coming back but I'd prefer to get Keon Johnson back in a deal. He's a next level athlete on an extremely cheap deal and he's only 20. Greg Brown is another guy I'd ask about.

The nice thing is that we really aren't, not unless we get a good value for him. We can keep him or move him later if we want. The big concern is that right now is his peak value and he supposedly has a lot of suiters. The secondary concern is that he has redundancies with Kessler but isn't really superior to Kessler at anything but an occasional corner 3.
 
I don't want more 6'4" 6'5" guys. We have plenty of experience with these guys. I want more length and athleticism like what we saw the the Raptors. I want to bundle Vando with someone else who can lift this team now and in the future. No band aid short sighted deals like we did with KO,

I realize KO was when we didn't know a lot about this team and we had to get some front court options. But we know what we got now.

I just don't see Vando having much of a ceiling above what we see today.

And I get that but it’s a bit of wishful thinking that we can put Vando and some stuff together and find the thing everyone in the league wants. So sometimes you settle for a 6’5” reasonable facsimile of what that player can do and search for that big athletic wing in the draft.

Hart is far from perfect… but the price might be right and those other things we really want may not be available atm.

And I’d just keep Vando if he didn’t suck on defense. He tries hard and will make some hustle plays but he just isn’t the guy he’s portrayed to be. I think we sell high on Beasley and Vando if we can but if it’s only meh returns then I guess we roll forward.
