If I'm the Lakers, there is no way I am giving up those 2 fitrst round picks in a deal for Kyrie unless he agrees to sign an extension immediately after the trade is completed.
Yeah, I’m sure he will if that was on the table though.
This is the perfect response. The nice thing is that we really aren't, not unless we get a good value for him. We can keep him or move him later if we want. The big concern is that right now is his peak value and he supposedly has a lot of suiters. The secondary concern is that he has redundancies with Kessler but isn't really superior to Kessler at anything but an occasional corner 3.
That's why he wants to get moved. They would have his bird rights and pay him this offseason... or give him an extension. If I'm the Lakers, there is no way I am giving up those 2 fitrst round picks in a deal for Kyrie unless he agrees to sign an extension immediately after the trade is completed.
With a boner the size of a baseball bat.Seriously you can’t make this sh*t up .
DA is smoking his pipe , sitting on the chair with a huge grin , watching and waiting for the bat phone to light up .
Okay... but don't. Ky knows that he can't get paid in a place he wants to be. So he forces his way out now so that the team has his bird rights. He knows he was gonna be left with getting paid a little more over a short period with Brooklyn or trying to get a team to do a sign and trade... or taking the MLE somewhere for a year where he wanted to be.I actually respect Kyrie for giving them a heads up that he wouldn’t re-sign there. Now they can get something back for him.
I hadn't even thought of the Mavs as a possible landing spot for Kyrie.

At least this way the Nets can get something for him even if at a discount. If he walked this summer they would have nothing in return.Okay... but don't. This was not a favor to the nets... this is Kyrie thinking about his money... full stop.

Mavs do this deal then Luka is crying to get out in 2-3 years and Utah is ready. That fit sucks... please do it Mavs.
Hard for them to trade directly because Brooklyn will want player compensation to help them win now that LA cant provideDo they need a middle team or can they trade directly? Lakers and Nets I mean.
Do they want to reunite Russ and KD? If not then they need some help.Do they need a middle team or can they trade directly? Lakers and Nets I mean.
