Did conley get hurt last night? If so that really sucks for our trades.

Turned his ankle late but played through. You know as well as I do… that shot hurts more the next couple days so I bet he misses a couple games. Shouldn’t bother any trade stuff… walked it off. Should have held him and a couple other guys out as a precautionary measure.

Hardy completely refused to adjust his lineup or defensive assignments. WTF is Dok playing in that game and better yet wtf is he drawing the assignment of guarding Green when wood is in the game and why was both Gay and Dok in at the same time, it was like Hardy was playing 4 on 5 most of the second half then they went even smaller and we put three 7ft players out there and let them get wide open three after 3 and fast break after fast break. Hardy’s management of this team was horrific tonight. He looked overwhelmed completely like he didn’t have a clue what was going on or where he was.
Dok + Gay seems like the perfect tanking formula

That sucks for Conly, but honestly I think his trade value is probably worth less than the quality mentorship and on-floor coaching he brings to the team. He can go, but I would rather see Clarkson, Vando, KO, and Beasley go before him.

It's most likely the Jazz will give up veterans for packages headlined by young players and/or picks.

For example, sources said the Jazz have had discussions about a deal in which a combination of rotation players including Conley and Beasley would go to the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for 2027 and 2029 first-round picks and Russell Westbrook, who would likely receive a buyout instead of joining the Jazz. Another rumor making the rounds: The Jazz discussing a deal that would send Beasley and Vanderbilt to the New York Knicks - where Gersson Rosas, the former Minnesota Timberwolves GM who traded for them and gave them their current contracts handles most of the trade calls - for guard Evan Fournier (whose contract New York wants to shed), promising young forward Obi Toppin and draft compensation.

Utah has also had preliminary discussions on a wide variety of potential trades, including deals in which the Jazz would give up draft capital.

From Tim MacMahon’s article that just dropped on ESPN this morning.

I would be thrilled with either of those trades. Hope that the Jazz can pull it off.
What if… we did a version of both? Mike/JC/KO to LA. Beasley Vando to NY. Only take one pick back from the Lakers….

Like o said yesterday… I’d tell both teams we have our hands in a lot of deals… we need their best offer today and we will pick one… with how the NY deal went down no one will call DAs bluff if they really want the deal.

I doubt the Lakers are seriously discussing sending both of the picks considering how stingy they've been so far. Probably more of a description of a possible framework for a trade or what the Jazz are looking for.

One unprotected pick and a swap is fine
And I’d do the swap this year with the Philly pick. NOP is right with us in the standings… Zion likely out a couple more weeks… him and BI could go down for a month at any moment. It’s a solid bet and the downside is limited for LA.

They are just quoting known rumors in that specific section. DA and Ryan wouldnt mention specific deals in an interview before the deadline.

Good article. They are not giving away much about what route they take but they are consistent about saying they only do deals with good value.

I'm thinking this is just the DFS discussion and they put it out as smoke and mirrors.. or has anyone else hear us explore some options where we would be sending picks out?

We are offering Conley, THT & every pick/swap we have from other teams for Luka this summer (after Kyrie kills the Mavericks and Luka asks out).

This is the scenario I'm hoping for, and it doesn't seem very far fetched. I think at least one of the deals will get done.
