2023 NBA Draft Megathread

33% prior to the season though... sixers pick is aggressive... but if we made a promise and moved back to the second round or acquired a second rounder it would definitely be worth it. He's the type that becomes a mid first rounder by playing in Portsmouth or at the combine.
It'd be a totally Memphis Grizzlies style late first round pick.

I don't think anyone should discount the possibility, that a lot of teams at the top, are going to hold this off court stuff against Miller. At least enough where Danny might get the steal of the draft in the 7-10 range. But Danny Ainge himself might also feel bringing a prospect of questionable character and poor judgement to a small market, where he could easily become public enemy #1 to a lot of family's is not worth the risk.
I think if we are at 4th overall and Miller is there. Danny could easily trade back a few picks to get more assets. Likely sending the pick to some big market team who can ignore the noise of negative press and easily fill the seats with people, who are more easy to forget someones off court struggles if the team is winning.

If the Jazz have the #4 pick, I could see them just take Whitmore, Walker or one of the Thompsons and move on.

The thing that makes Nelson interesting vs other guys in his similar size/athletic profile is that he some natural feel as a playmaker/scorer that most don't.

Yeah he has a lot more potential than “stretch 5”.

His handle and facilitation/vision is borderline elite for his size.

I would feel pretty comfortable taking him with the sixers pick. He kind of reminds me of Kyle Kuzma.

there are a few high upside fliers we could take with that Sixers pick... its another reason imo to not swing on a guy like GG with our pick or the Minny pick.

The majority of his shots are contested mid-range jumpers and 3s, with over 60% being unassisted. With more normal shot selection and better teammates, his shooting shouldn't be an issue.
Because he wants those kinds of shots....

South Carolina is a bad team, no doubt. Not a ton of talent, but a big part of their issue is GG himself. They'd be a better team without him.

I feel good about GG. I think he is going to be really good.

He can be, but he's got to hold himself together, work hard and get good advisors on his side. The immaturity is something to keep an eye on. If he doesn't interview well and gets the "immature" label, it's going to hurt him in the draft.

For the record, I definitely would not use a 1st rounder on Nelson. I'd start to think about him more around 40.

Well based off what we know in Feb. A lot of things will change in workouts and I would be surprised but not shocked to see Nelson sneak into the first off a great workout.

Arguments could be made for like 15 dudes as late first round picks right now In this draft.

One guy not even mentioned here is Brandin Podziemski. Dude has such a pure shot and shoots 44% from 3 despite shooting more contested or off the dribble than open looks. All other stats look really good as well.

He has gone up 111 spots in BR big board in the last month... now up to 57 and some are projecting him as a first round pick. Would be happy to see him added with the last pick.

What do you guys think? Good flier for the Nets pick?

Looked him up after a podcast mentioned him. Numbers are good but he looks slow as ****. Would need to watch him in a real game but I’d say 2nd rounder type prospect.
