A thread for us to talk about Johnny Juzang.

Honestly during this "tanking" stretch (or whatever you want to call it) Juzang might be the most interesting player to watch (other than Ochai doing more stuff) since we've seen everyone else for extended time now.

So far I think he looks solid. He's a guy I could see scoring 20+ in one of the last games of the season when the Jazz go Super Saiyan Tank with everyone out on injury.

Didn't watch yesterday's game that closely, but I didn't notice him doing anything awful on D. He has decent size so he can never be Jimmer bad
 
I bet he has some kind of personality disorder. he always has these ****ed up expressions on his face lol
feels like I am watching a Jack Nicholson in the Joker role smh
He can shoot it though

is that what is happening now tanking suddenly in hopes of a 4% chance at the top 4 instead of .08% ?
I guess these recent games suggest it, but I bet it doesn't continue.
 
Thing I've always been worried about with Juzang is inconsistency. He'll have good games, he has some desirable skills, but never quite stringing enough quality play together over an extended period to really make you think he's there yet.

But that's what being a pro is for: learning to offer a consistent product on a night-to-night basis. If he gets there, I think that's an NBA player.

I honestly wouldn’t know, can barely watch the Jazz since the trade and the writing on the wall. Enjoying watching my new favorite teams, the Lakers and the Wolves however. (Rooting for the players not the teams as if it’s going to make a difference). God knows I wouldn’t have made that trade!

Well he can shoot from anywhere but can he make them?
Last night 2-9 overall and 1-6 from 3. Idiot was right about the inconsistency.
 
Uhmm any rookie will struggle with consistency, especially an un-drafted rookie just getting a few minutes. Also I have no problem with the shots Ocahi and Simone took, they weren't taking bad shots, they were taking open shots that they should expect to make.

I know Quin is hated but he and Hardy have said they will never have a problem with players taking good shots, Quin would go on about it longer, that it's easy to focus on the results (makes and misses) but wants the players to focus on just getting good shots.
 
I am not sure whether they were good shots or not. Much of the time rather than running an offense or strategically passing it seemed like it was one guy would iso unsuccessfully and then have to pass to another guy who would iso, etc. and then someone would throw up a shot. But my view might be a bit simplistic/uneducated. I'm sure it's hard to run much of an offense with a collection of guys who are new to the team and somewhat new to the NBA.
