2023 NBA Draft Megathread

IF Sensabaugh puts up a really good wingspan number (which seems possible, he has very broad shoulders and a wide body, could easily see him being a 7' wingspan) what's the argument for having GG over Sensabaugh?

Neither defends or passes, but at least Sensabaugh is an efficient shot maker and shooter.

Athletic 6'9" guy with advanced handle who gets above the rim vs. 6'6" versatile scoring wing. Both are lottery-caliber talents though.

You misspelled Ausar
Am I the only one?

Amen has a lot of name pun potential too.

Alright @Bodhi is here... lots of Tay Henny doubt... and I'm out.

GG Jackson's best skill is taking hard shots. I'm still not convinced GG Jackson is a better prospect than his prospect twin from last year, Emoni Bates. The only difference is one has some lean mass and the other doesnt.

Ultimately with GG there just isnt a wide enough skill base for me to get super excited about him. Obviously a talented shot taker, but there are no other standout skills other than the size/athleticism combination.

Who are you talking to here? Are you trying to get me to respond? The appeal of GG is his ability and aggressiveness driving the ball, which also enables him to get defenders off balance and create space with step-backs and side-steps. He's also an aggressive play finisher at the rim.

Bates doesnt have the same physical profile or offensive impact drawing defenders. Bates is an interesting shooter though.

Nah, they are basically the same. Tough shot takers who care about their numbers first and foremost and do nothing outside of scoring (and they dont do that all that well other than making some tough shots)

And I'm just musing like everyone else. Listening to the most recent No Ceilings pod while doing so.

Trayce Jackson Davis to OKC would be an immaculate fit w/ Holmgren. Like to the point where I would consider drafting TJD w/ their first pick (they only have 1 pick in the first round surprisingly)

Yeah you get dude in the right spot and you could have something really good.

Miami or SA could unlock in him too IMO

Sensabaugh is an absolutely atrocious defender is the argument.

Tony Jones said on ESPN700 that he would take Taylor Hendriks with the 9th pick (assuming he's still available), then he would take either Cason Wallace, Jalen Hood-Schifino or Jordan Hawkins with the Wolves pick.

Hood is not a lottery pick though smh Wallace you can make a case for I guess, but he won't live up to it either.
Hawkins and Hendricks are the only two of those 4 that will deliver for the orgs that take them that high.
I would bet Hood is taken mid 20's at best and thats being generous
