Reid is also really good and worth $60/4 as he's skilled, versatile, and productive (22/9/1.5 per 36, 35% from 3). He is also an unrestricted free agent and it would be a significant blow to the Wolves to lose him.

I’ve never heard of DDV. Unless you mean DDP but that dude is waaay past his prime but I guess he does have that Jazz connection.

We should make it a priority to pilfer off the good role players from the teams from which we own picks -- two birds one stone kind of thing. Go after Naz Reid and Austin Reaves. Would be nice if CLE had a role player I'd want, but we can just bank on Donovan leaving in a couple years...

To be fair everyone was terrified of Embiids medicals. I'm sure a lot of people were echoing the same sentiment after those two years.
Bragging about their wisdom AFTER Dante was putrid garbage in season 1 and tore his ACL in season 2.
And then, AND THEN, going on to use Exum's bad health as a crutch to rationalize drafting him there. What a masterclass.

Ya thats dumb. I had embiid at #2 that season on my big board. I thought Wiggins would be better than he has been but passing on embiid at 5 would have been incredibly stupid. Especially for Exum lololololololololol
DL drafted Exum because he knew he could trade him for JC. It was always part of the plan and he’s thinking 20 steps ahead.
I think I had him #1 on my board for the most part. I would have to look it up. Pretty sure I specifically said something along the lines of "okay, well who ****en cares if he has a stress fracture in his foot, better to be super careful and use modern medicine with a legit star talent than **** around with something lesser."
If only we had drafted Embiid. We could have made a few appearances in the 2nd round of the playoffs.
DL is playing three dimensional chess while the other GMs are playing checkers.
Jokes aside, there is an added layer of benefit of going with consensus higher ranked players because if they struggle they will still have some believers out there.
