Maybe… I worry we’d be pressed for PT but he’s in the right age range… easier if we trade KO.
Wonder, if Porzingis was going to be on the FA market, whether Jazz would have gone even harder in the draft to try to move up for Black? Would have been a tall lineup.I’m with Captain Obvious here. Maybe before the Hendricks pick it made some sense. The ivory towers would have had a new pillar.
Why would they need to tear down Hendricks and rebuild him? He has a consistent outside shot already and a strong motor. He needs to get stronger and continue to develop his ball handling but there isn't anything to tear down and start over like a broken jump shot.I think I would pop on Kuzma for anything under 25. We are really, really young and Kuzma at that price would have value if Hendicks gells quickly. I think they are going to need to tear down Hendricks a bit and rebuild him. That could take time (but not Balil time, thankfully.)
Maybe… sometimes you just can’t make those teams sell or it becomes insanely expensive and isn’t smart.Wonder, if Porzingis was going to be on the FA market, whether Jazz would have gone even harder in the draft to try to move up for Black? Would have been a tall lineup.
Yes, that's true. Just wondering if Porzingis-Black additions might have been the Jazz's "plan A" for the offseason.Maybe… sometimes you just can’t make those teams sell or it becomes insanely expensive and isn’t smart.
Harden anyone? (I wouldn't do it, but kind of makes sense with the rest of our roster if we are trying to be as good as possible in the short run.The Jazz are saying they want dribble pass shoot players.
I still think they are going to target Kuzma, but at the right price.
I'm sure they were interested in Zingis too, at the right price. That's overall what I expect, Utah to try and find a good deal

Players I would throw more minor / small contracts at:
Either of the Holiday bros
Jevon Carter (I love this pickup for the Jazz!)
Josh Hart
Malik Beasley (I liked him on the Jazz when we didn't have Clarkson on the floor at the same time)
Players who are just too spendy for my liking but would be excellent additions if they can be had on a 1 year:
Cam Johnson (If the price is right then yes but that's unlikely)
Clarkson (run it back if the price is right)
Rui (ok)
Kuzma (meh)
Bruce Brown (doubt it)
Kris Middelton (doubt it)
Harrison Barnes (doubt it)
Free Agents that would help put us in the playoffs:
Draymond Green - but I just don't see it happening
FVV - He would be a tremendous P&R threat with Lauri! He is probably the only FA I would spend more than $30 million per year on. But I would prefer alternatives via trades.
What about Austin Reaves? He can be had but we'll have to go north of 100 million to get him.Players I would throw more minor / small contracts at:

The shot is great, keep that. He plays defense with his athleticism like Whiteside. If he wants to be a rim protector rather than a weak side rim protector he needs to learn his craft like Rudy or Kessler. He's athletic enough for the footwork, he needs to learn the footwork. Why would they need to tear down Hendricks and rebuild him? He has a consistent outside shot already and a strong motor. Only way we get him is if LA is looking to add a star like Kyrie I think. What about Austin Reaves? He can be had but we'll have to go north of 100 million to get him.
LMFAO.. they told the Cavs they wanted Allen, Mobley, and a pick for him? Crazy.Jazz called about Harris. Morey was smoking some of the good stuff lately.

Suns, Jazz, and Mavericks also showing interest in the Sixers’ Tobias Harris
A source says Sixers president of basketball operations Daryl Morey “isn’t negotiating in good faith” regarding a deal for Harris.www.inquirer.com
Sound alike the kind of thing you leak so you make Tobias Harris ego not feel hurt. Yeah, you're on the block but we are asking for ridiculous **** (even though it's BS and we actually begged to dump you with some 2nd round picks)LMFAO.. they told the Cavs they wanted Allen, Mobley, and a pick for him? Crazy.
But also the Cavs should totally make that trade to ruin their future
All player option deadlines from now on come before the draft, please.A few contract guarantees coming up:
** Kelly Olynyk becomes fully guaranteed for $12MM on June 28.
** Jordan Clarkson at $14.3MM has a player option deadline on June 29.
** Talen Horton-Tucker at $11MM has a player option deadline on June 29.
** Rudy Gay at $6.5MM has a player option deadline on June 29.
** Damian Jones opted in to his deal at $2.6MM on June 23.
They also (obviously) got rid of him in an effort to lose more games. And they got a good draft pick.Wish we would’ve kept Conley if we’re not going to use our cap space. Oh well
