2023 NBA Free Agency Thread

Eh, Vuc at 20 million might be an asset. Better than letting him walk.
Covers age 33 through 35 seasons... already not worth that imo... that last year likely rough regardless. I don't know who would trade for that one.

I mean, if he came here at like 15 million a year I'd take it because someone would want to trade for it, but anything higher than that Im out.
I just think I'd be annoyed until we traded him.

I initially was curious about the draft pick penalty.

If you are a second apron team you can’t trade picks 7 years out.

If you are a second apron team and then are a second apron team 2 more times out of the next 4 years your draft pick 8 years after it first happened would be the last pick of the draft regardless of record.

For example:

You are a second apron team in 2023-24, then again in 2024-25 and let’s say again in 2027-28. Your first round pick in 2031 would be penalized to the end of the draft.

So basically teams were given access to this roughly 48 hours before free agency begins. Hope these front office people are fast readers.
