2023 NBA Free Agency Thread

I think something like this makes a bit of sense for both teams. If I am the Blazers I am happy enough taking on Ben Simmons salary for 2 years in exchange so long as I get loaded the best picks Nets have to offer. I am also getting 2 serviceable, quality contracts in Dorian Finney-Smith and Royce O'neal. I am going all in on the youth movement while adding Cam Thomas (who looked good last year) and Dariq Whitehead (this year's first rounder for Brooklyn).

If I am the Nets, I am pairing up Damian Lillard with Mikal Bridges. I have two solid complimentary starters in Jerami Grant and Cam Johnson to go along with a decent'ish bench. I lose some depth, but get off the Simmons contract.

I think the argument is over what picks get swapped and how many. I put 3 of the best ones that the Nets have.

That is WAY better for Portland than anything Miami is putting out there.

Brooks 4/80M and Landale 4/32M to Houston. They are also absorbing Patty Mills from Houston in a trade.

Not sure I’d want to take on Herro, but I wouldn’t mind snagging Jaquez for a pick if the opportunity presents itself.

We don’t need another rookie especially one who plays the same positions as Hendricks/Collins/Markkanen.

Rockets gonna regret every single signing they made this summer and do a fire sale by next trade deadline

Westbrook getting $8 million a year. Feels like Kyrie's trajectory, BUT... Dallas gave him 3 years @ $126 million. Nutso.

Maybe the Clippers should sign Carmelo Anthony to a similar contract.
