What's new

23-24 schedule

Play Memphis 3 times before Ja comes back. We done good this year. See if we can replicate something similar to last year's start and we may end up top 6.

Oh wow. Nice schedule. Few things I noticed that no one has brough up:
  • We play all 3 of our games against Grizzlies during Ja suspension
  • If we have a "high upside" season and end up fighting for 6th or so, our last 17 games should be exiting since we play a lot against the teams that should be in that mix... and also only 2 of those 17 are against last seasons top 3 seeds from either conference

Jazz have 3 Sunday home games this year, a big change from years past.
I might be on the lookout for tickets to those games since presumably many season ticket holders will not go to Sunday home games. Might score some deals! Plus Sunday is just about the perfect day to go to a game, especially if they are earlier in the day.

Just kind of eyeballing it, but it seems as thought the first part of the season is the toughest. After all star break is much easier. Gonna be interesting to see if....decisions....are made if we get off to a tough start.

Word

Excited about the season, don't know what to think about the in season tournament. I don't really like the idea. Seems like a marketing deal instead of a basketball decision.

Yep, this. I think it's just dumb. We already have "stars" regularly playing in only 2/3 of the regular season games to rest. So I'm sure adding extra games will help that right? Now we get to see them in even fewer regular season games so they can be "fresh" for the in-season tournament. But hey, money, right?

There are not extra games except for the finals, in that case it is one extra game. The tournament games themselves are regular season games. The NBA regular season is abysmal. The teams and players do not care. While it is not exactly what I had hoped for, something had to be done to try to drum up interest in the league.

In any case, I cannot see how this is any "worse" than it was before. If you were completely oblivious to the tournament, your viewing experience would not change in the slightest. It's the same thing.

Maybe in the regular season. But I know the Sunday playoff tickets are usually the most expensive. Also the most drunk and fun the place gets.

I actually don't think there will be any deals for Sunday games. Sunday is the perfect day to go to a game. As already mentioned, they're usually early games, so even better.
