I know this was a morbid joke (I chuckled), but apparently he died of skin cancer. 4 year battle.
And then to have the dude from SmashMouth die of cirrhosis... teach me to make insensitive jokes. My sister-in-law and her husband both died of cirrhosis, so I should know better.
