Who Would You Rather Have: Herro or Holiday?

Assuming price is relatively equal, who would you rather have?

The Jazz are in a nice spot with talent and picks where we can go get Jrue (assuming the price isn't crazy) and still have enough assets to be competitive on any future opportunity that comes up.

I saw from Sean Highkin (a portland guy) that the focus will be draft capital since they got less picks and a player in Ayton with the Dame deal.

But I bet they did their due diligence on Taylor and may love him. I would make it pick focused.

They also didn't get any near in picks. I'm sure they would love a 2015 pick or sooner. I'm not sure how many teams that are competing for Jrue can give them early picks?

Yeah, even though I'm not a huge Taylor guy, I wouldnt want to include him in the trade.

I would probably put in Brice if it got the deal done.

Yeah, and how would they even incorporate another high profile rookie?

With the addition of Ayton, they already have a lot of players to focus on. I dont think adding another rookie is that high on their list of to-dos.

They also owe their own pick to Chicago for the next 4 drafts (lottery protected).

It's not entirely out of the question they could be playoff ready after a year, so having a pick from Cleveland or Minny in 2025 could be nice.
 
2025 first if included needs to be top 4 protected. Can put in language that if the pick falls in that range they get a 2027 pick unprotected or something.
 
Herro is a high percentile shooter. He would make sense playing with Kessler to open up the floor. Sexton, THT are not opening the floor as much as Herro. I don't think the Jazz want to peak so quickly with Jrue.
 
While we're at it, we can talk to Portland about swapping Collins for Grant.

A Jrue, Clarkson, Lauri, Grant, Kessler lineup would would be about as good of a non superstar lineup you could come up with.

He's said a lot... been right a lot too. I think he did say that... declared the mystery team was Toronto... which was true.

Honestly it makes a ton of sense and they have enough... he's also from LA or went to UCLA... so likely would be happy to sign an extension. Philly or LA always made the most sense.

Yeah, but I tend to believe he's just using his clout of being right on the earlier stuff to just guess on this stuff.
