Reed is a legit game manager thoReed Sheppard is who people thought Davion Mitchell was.

FIFYReed is a legit GOAT though.
If you are focused on big guards, Proctor has to be on that list. I'd also put Dillingham and Reed in there even though they are smaller guards, they are just better than nearly everyone else in this draft class as far as game goes.
But yeah, that's about it. I'd want to put Tyler SMith on that list as well, but he's really just a role player. A slightly better version of Hendricks. The Jazz need players with actual game though.
I'd take Holland off that list as well. He would be on my do not draft list. Buzelis honestly might be on that list as well, but we havent seen him play yet. I'm not confident he's actually good.
If we are drafting like 10th then a guy like Ryan Dunn could be possible depending on how everything plays out (basically if everyone looks like **** and you just want to draft an insane athlete who actually plays active basketball unlike Hendricks). Cody Williams still has a chance to play himself into the top 10 as well.
Things will become more clear in conference play were these guys separate themselves in negative/positive ways.
Reed shoots the piss out of it though. Like so many of his makes are the pure swish dead center shots. Not sure anyone expected that from Davion.
Does he have limited tools? He is really skilled and a solid athlete.Does anyone have the courage to draft a 6'2" white guy with limited tools in the top half of the lottery, even if he shoots like Mark Price?
Buzelis should probably stay out and let the hype do the work for himBuzelis needs to come back from his injury. I keep watching videos of his work out with Flagg and I come away thinking he is similar but a lot less fluid as Flagg.
I see a lot of potential in Buzelis. I have read comps that compare Franz Wagner. That would be a perfect fit for the jazz. I just need to see him play.
I am very concerned about his defense.
Regardless of how athletic he is he's going to be seen as limited because he doesn't show great separation moves (though he doesn't really try/have to do that) and he probably has a tiny wingspan.Does he have limited tools? He is really skilled and a solid athlete.
I mean, someone once drafted Trae Young pretty high.Does anyone have the courage to draft a 6'2" white guy with limited tools in the top half of the lottery, even if he shoots like Mark Price?
In this draft I have zero problem with that. If he wasn’t getting like 6 stocks per 36 (WTF) I’d be hesitant. Maybe he’s TJ McConnell with a laser and that’s a pretty damn good player.Does anyone have the courage to draft a 6'2" white guy with limited tools in the top half of the lottery, even if he shoots like Mark Price?
He had gawdy stats but yeah I think most will turn their nose at the physical limitations and a few will ignore it. I could also see him putting up 30 in a tournament game and being a top 5 pick in this draft.I mean, someone once drafted Trae Young pretty high.
I’m fairly sure at some point a draft person is going to invoke the name of Steph Curry with Reed if he continues to play this well. Cal please give him like 32-35 minutes a night. TIA
I think you can invoke Steve Nash and it not be a crazy take. He just doesn't seem to have the volume scoring mentality to say StephI’m fairly sure at some point a draft person is going to invoke the name of Steph Curry with Reed if he continues to play this well. Depending on how long Wagner is out for it might start going that way.I’m fairly sure at some point a draft person is going to invoke the name of Steph Curry with Reed if he continues to play this well. Cal please give him like 32-35 minutes a night. TIA
That will be the counterpoint to the hot take.I was actually going to invoke the the name of Seth Curry with elite defense.
No idea if he is that level of passer. He seems to be playing really well within his game so yeah I get the volume scoring thing. I'm going to stick with "TJ McConnell with a bleeping laser" as my comp.I think you can invoke Steve Nash and it not be a crazy take.
