Collin Sexton SZN

I do feel like a good Sexton vs bad Sexton is a pretty big game changer for Utah. He's just been incredibly ineffective to bad for most of the season.

With Keyonte presumably out for at least a week, he will get a shot at proving himself as a starter.

As long as KO is also starting, I think it could work. The issue will be if Collins comes back and it's the 3 non playmaking bigs + Sexton.

Will be interesting to see who they start w/ the other guard.

I'm not sure what Sexton worked on this off season. It feels like it was the wrong thing based on the first half of the season, but it's also possible that it's just finally coming together.

To me it seemed very clear that Sexton needed to improve his 3pt rate and learn how to make the right reads out of his drives. He did a great job of those things last night which makes his whole game really work.

Sexton's 3 point rate is at a career high by a significant margin.

I'm guessing he worked on that and being more of a PG, but he been used a lot more off-ball this year than he probably anticipated.

Career high in assists this season by a decent amount.
Maybe that's what he worked on.

More passing and more 3 point attempts

Seems like he worked on the right things.

Which makes sense because he seems to be very coachable and a hard worker

As for his struggles in the first half of the first quarter of the season, it seems like the whole team struggled outside of Simone and lauri.

Collin Sexton’s last 7 games:

18.7 PPG, 4.7 APG, 3.6 RPG and 52.3% from the field in 25.1 mins. One of the best parts? Only 1.8 TOPG.
The last 3-4 weeks Sexton has started to pass the ball more and look for open teammates when he drives. He’s clearly trying to improve in this regard. And last night I was actually thinking he looks like a point guard out there. He’s pretty unique with his explosive speed, and if he continues to get better with facilitating, I don’t want him to get traded. I much rather move Clarkson and THT.

He is shooting 33% from 3, which is second lowest in his career. Last year he shot 39%.

The last couple of nights in addition to Sexton Hardy has turned to Kris Dunn and in his time he has been effective. I assume we see a lot of him tonight. I guess the question is why were both of these guys in Hardy's dog house when they showed last season that they could play decently?

Ya his shooting percentage is worse. However, the post you were responding to was speaking of 3 point shooting volume.

Sexton improve a lot recently. Let's see if he can maintain this level. He is one of the key for us to be better. The second for me is to keep KO as a starter as he is by far our best passing guy.
If I’ve said it once I’ve said it a million times. He preforms better starting then coming off the bench

Is there any website that offers lineup data? Basketball Reference doesnt seem to have it anymore. Interested to see the stats w/ Sexton/KO vs Sexton w/o KO.
