Nets would LOVE to be a first or second round exit every year doe. Especially if they have the suns picks still.

Nah... Grant's deal is so long and he's putting up stats on a bad team. One good pick and Collins is fair. I wouldn't do it.

Always like Cam Johnson but the Nets fans in the quotes thread were VERY negative on him. I give some weight to that with guys I don't watch often.

Just feels like a positive move but also somewhat lateral. If we are putting picks out I think it has to be more than that. Also a ****** rebounder (may not matter as much if you can put Kessler on the floor more).

I've always liked him in a basketball reference way... Just the fans flaming him always is a red flag to me.

Its something I always notice when a guy has decent numbers but the fans hate him in the threads. Its not foolproof at all... but fans watch a lot more than us and they were toxic with regard to Johnson it seemed.
 
I've thought about BKN as a potential Collins team. Both's JCs for Simmons. Do we get picks in that deal? Honestly, John's contract could be worse than Ben right now.
 
To answer the question... Collins plus a pick would be the deal for Johnson. Another one I'd pass on. Johnson is actually older than Collins. I wouldn't do that personally but that would be the cost... they might say "no" as well.

BS is broken. That contract is 100% dead money. Collins deal is definitely more valuable. BS also comes with dumb distractions and headlines a few times a year as he is making a comeback. No thanks.
 
I think Cam would be 2+ plus picks in addition to John Collins. Cam Johnson always been somewhat of a numbers darling, might be worth it to pay that. Hot take, but he's a better value proposition than Bridges.

Collins deal is longer and he hasn't exactly been helping us win. Getting the money off the books one year early is important. BS basically doesn't exist anymore. There are no headlines or distractions. If announcing he will be reevaluated every two weeks is a problem, you got a lot of problems.
