They can have Collins for the right priceI don't really see KO as a priority target for OKC. They have so many shooters and play makers, but lack rebounding. I guess KO is a big body they can throw at people.

Jazz are a .500. Any move they make is going to move the needle.Almost none of the names I'm seeing thrown around seem likely to really move the needle.
Woj says we could see a deal today and a deal or two tomorrow... then 17 deals with like 3 hours to go. Watch the active list tonight. KO and JC may have some load management.A little over 48 hours left.
Why do we want to trade for Murray? I don’t get it. I’m not trolling or anything, but we just drafted Key. If we develop him well he becomes a catalyst to making this team better because of his rookie deal. What does Murray do to propel the Jazz to where they want to get to. He hampers our chances significantly to get a star by trade and draft. We have more pressing needs than a pg. we should be looking to get better shooting and defense on the wing.Jazz perspective:
We get the starting guard upgrade we need with a guy who matches with Lauri age-wise, has AS upside and is tied up in a team friendly deal for multiple years going forward.
Because he's a borderline all-star quality talent who is potentially available. Why do we want to trade for Murray? I don’t get it. I’m not trolling or anything, but we just drafted Key. Just my two cents.
So they aren’t thinking of building a contender? Heard. OkBecause he's a borderline all-star quality talent who is potentially available.
The Jazz are making calls on anyone with talent at this point.
They picked up John Collins because he averaged 22 ppg his 3rd year in the league and they decided why not, it's a low cost pick up.
You cant build a contender without good players unless you luck into getting a top 10 guy like OKC did with SGA.So they aren’t thinking of building a contender? Heard. Ok
Murray is one of the better perimeter defenders in the league. He creates for himself and others. He is on a very nice contract locked up for multiple years. He is the same age as Lauri which is great for timelines. He can score, rebound, assist, and defend so he is not one dimensional. Adding another 20 point scorer to the team is nice. Anyone better is unavailable. Why do we want to trade for Murray? I don’t get it. I’m not trolling or anything, but we just drafted Key. He's, at best, an average defender.Murray is one of the better perimeter defenders in the league. He creates for himself and others. He is on a very nice contract locked up for multiple years. He was a great perimeter defender early in his SA days. It’s really tapered off since he became a primary option… even in SA. I do believe Hardy can get the best of a guy like Murray. So maybe he would do slightly better here.Murray is one of the better perimeter defenders in the league. He creates for himself and others. He is on a very nice contract locked up for multiple years. I like Trae and would trade a lot to get him. He’d be perfect with Lauri/Walker.The Hawks have a better defensive rating with Young on vs Young off
The Hawks have a worse defensive rating with Murray on vs Murray off.
Maybe if they are confident in Embiid's ability to return. The Embiid news of 4 weeks and an evaluation seems to suggest that he will be back this season. I think that is the KO destination. They have the right mix of expiring contracts and have a really good 2nd this year from Toronto (#36) and a handful of seconds that could be good... their own after 2027 and LAC in 2029.
Remember how KO hulks up when Lauri is out and you need a starter. He could do some version of that for 2 months and be a valuable backup big. We can also help get them below the tax.
If Atlanta would take either Clarkson or THT/Olynyk plus either Minnesota's 2025 unprotected 1st or 2 protected picks (worst in 2025 and worst in 2027 then it would be worth it. We would improve the guard lineup, have a better creator for our bigs, plus still have lots of future draft picksHe was a great perimeter defender early in his SA days.
