The problem I have with tonights loss

When we lost by 3 against the Lakers at home, that is something I could swallow because Kobe went off and Pau hit a 3 pointer he would miss 9-10 times to help win the game...

Losing like that... I can handle...

But I can't handle losing in the fashion the Jazz did tonight by giving up 22 points to a has been small forward named Shawn Marion whos better scoring days are far behind him...

Maybe the guy was an athlete 5 years ago, but cmon Utah... Really?? There was no possible way you could have slowed him down tonight??

If Dirk goes off tonight, again, I can swallow a loss like that...

But Shawn Marion??

Shawn ****ing Marion??

When was the last time this guy got 20+ points??

....they left him wide open....and he converted most of the night. P-poor defense by the entire team and whomever was covering Marrion.

These things happen in the NBA. We didn't have Howard, Sap was off, Harris was horrible instead of plain bad, Bell was missing wide open shots, and generally just looked a step behind the WC.

Only saw the first half; Harris, I have to agree this time, was downright awful; clanked EVERYTHING. Granted he was open, but 0 assists for the STARTING PG after a half??? Wow... I've been sayin' for a while; let's start seeing more of Tinsley, which, given Watson's stellar play, means LESS of Harris... Harris is still is a good defender so I wouldn't bench him, but his quick shots last night short-circuited our offense last night!

Marion is a former all-star, he is not as good as he used to be; but he's going to get his from time to time. That's why he was the starting SF for the NBA Champions last year.

Beaubois or whatever the **** his name is finished with 17 - about a point a minute. Many of them were easy buckets off on defensive breakdowns in the backcourt

Last night was a veteran team taking advantage of a young team. We used to see it the other way around all the time in the late 90's with Stockton and Malone.

It's gonna happen - get used to it.

When Corbin pulled Watson to put in Harris at the end I knew we were in trouble. I don't get why you pull a guy whose busting his butt for a guy who couldn't hit a shot all night. I have no faith in Harris anymore. I would like to see more of Tinsley to see what he can do.

Ditto to your whole post. NotDeadYet, you gettin' rep'd from me. Usually rep folks who agree with me. We might even look a bit alike.

Harris had good looks, he just missed them.
Hayward had the best all around game of the starters. He was guarding 2 people by himself for stretches in the second half for some reason.

Maybe he doubled off his man too much, not sure...
The whole team has to be aware that you can't let Marion and Terry get open.
You are better off letting Dirk and Kidd shoot jumpers than giving terry and Marion the shots they got at the end.

The intensity wasn't there last night. They were reading their own pub, which is normal. Now can they regain it after the loss.

Hayward sucked for most of the game except that run and the end. He was the reason Marion went off like that - his defense against SF position this season is pathetic, everybody is scoring at will vs him. It is frustrating how he and CJ can't put together two good games in a row. One great game showing flashes of potential and then two three horrible games.

Even though everyone sucked, they only lost by 3.
I don't know how people can say there was no energy, they just missed too many shots.

Marion is still a fine player.

The real issue is getting absolutely nothing out of our starting PG. Especially when matched up against a 50 year old... You mean to tell me that one of the fastest players in the league couldn't get one FG against Jason Kidd????? Come on!

Marion is a former allstar that still plays smart.
strange that he goes off on us after doing nothing this season.
I haven't seen enough games to be sure why.
I suspect you want to put a bigger player on him, and be sure to stay with him.
He's a crafty player, and a PF Sf tweener.
I would have considered putting Favors on him, but oh yea, Favors got thrown out.

Dallas has good shooters all around, they work to get open shots, you've got to stay on them.
